Cold War Color XII
Block 10C F-16A, SN 80-0499, is seen above sitting on the ramp at Nellis Air Force Base sometime between August of 1981 and April of 1989. This particular jet was assigned to the 430th Tactical Fighter Squadron at the time of this photograph. The Viper above would go on to serve with the Air Force until 1991, when it was assigned to the Arizona Air National Guard. The jet was eventually retired to AMARG in the fall of 2000, where it sat until February of 2018. From there, it was delivered to Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum in Colorado, where it was restored and put on display in August of 2018.
