In 2018, Spikes was fired from the service, and a couple of years later, both MoviePass and HMNY declared bankruptcy.

Recently, Spikes has bought his startup back for less than $250 000. He is going to restart it.

Former Apple and Nike employees made the PlantLife app.

It is a social network in which users can share photos and videos of their home plants. According to the developers, "there is absolutely no toxicity in the service".

The app's interface is a bit like TikTok. In addition to the ability to share photos and videos, PlantLife allows you to find houseplant care tips or sell seeds online. To create a profile, you need to take a picture of your flower and add information about it: name, species, age and description.

The company believes that in five years, the application can bring $189 million income. The developers are planning to expand PlantLife's features: to integrate with Instagram and TikTok, to attract small businesses that can sell plants using the service, and to include an automatic search of plants by photo.
