2021-10-06 16:03:41 Extra prayer covering would be appreciated today. For some reason, the trolls are at it especially hard in the last 24 hours (since posting my latest blog - which Elijah List also posted). My blog is being attacked by vile comments that are calling out things specific to me, my family, and our church (so they aren't just bots). I changed my settings so they can't continue. Holy Spirit just told me the reason I'm getting hit is because I'm going against the spirit of FEAR. This is what demons feed on. By me easing peoples' fears and building their faith, the demons know they lose power. Another reason to rise up with BOLD CONFIDENCE in the love and POWER of our God!! Open / Comment

2021-10-05 20:03:55 Boy – here’s a new one!

I received an email last week from a “minister” in a neighboring community: “This is ________ with First Baptist of _________. Correspondence regards paid sermon for November thru February depending on availability. I have a couple questions that I promise won’t take too much of your time, Mrs. Alger.”

My assistant and I had a check about the email, so wrote again, asking for further clarification. He simply sent the same exact message. So, my assistant wrote him back to say I was not available for that time frame. He finally revealed his true colors in his response:

“That’s a shame. If she’s interested, we have an opening for June 2022. The event would be a debate in which Wanda would have to prove she is not a false prophet. We would also prove her lack of knowledge when it comes to scripture. The debate pays $500 for her appearance. Thank you.”

Wow – a paid appearance as a false prophet!
I guarantee - by June of 2022 - they’ll have had a rude awakening to their own pitiful lack of “knowledge!” That just might be priceless to see. Open / Comment

2021-10-05 19:43:45 I just wrote a new blog article (and posted a new video) with four suggestions in HOW TO WALK IN THE DARK (how to prepare for future blackouts). There is a spiritual component of "being ready" but there is also the practical. I have received numerous messages asking, "How do we prepare?" In the article I share two links with some simple suggestions in preparing for power outages, but the most important thing I share is HOW we walk through any time of darkness.

As much as we’d love for a prophet to tell us exactly when, where, and how long (Ten Days of Darkness?) I believe the Lord actually WANTS us to be “in the dark” about some things. That’s the only place where faith grows. After all, this is a FAITH JOURNEY – not a prophetic one. We are not being tested on how well we interpret prophetic words, but how much faith we have in a supernatural God. This is something that each individual is going to have to take ownership in - not only in terms of being ready for a crisis but taking a stand for truth.

Regardless of how God’s plans unfold in the midst of increasing threats, we can either be a victim OF them or a victor THROUGH them. If our confidence is in the Lord, we can actually walk in the dark in absolute peace and confidence because the Captain of the Hosts is taking us through. That alone will foil the devil’s plans.
