$AAPL Apple has reportedly met with Korean electric car makers SK Innovation, LG Electronics and Magna International (NYSE: $MGA), to engage them as suppliers for the future Apple Car.

"Without partnerships with Korean suppliers, Apple will not be able to complete its electric car business plan. As far as we know, Apple has been communicating with LG, SK and Hanwha, but negotiations are still in the early stages," The Korea Times reported.

Source reports that Apple held "extended meetings with electric car battery manufacturer SK Innovation. The company also met with LG and Magna, which have a joint venture called LG Magna e-Powertrain, which makes electric motors, inverters and on-board chargers and electronic drive systems.

Rumors of Apple teaming up with LG Magna e-Powertrain first surfaced earlier this year.

It was previously reported that the company preferred Hyundai-Kia as a production partner, but the company later denied those reports.

AMD $AMD rating upgraded to "under market" from "worse than market"; target price raised to $110 from $80 - BMO Capital analyst Ambrish Srivastava

The analyst calls the current revision a time to admit one's mistakes. Given the company's ongoing activity and valuation expansion, the stock looks relatively more reasonably valued than it did at the beginning of the year, according to Srivastava, who also believes that valuations are trending upward during the year as AMD begins to ramp up projects it has already won in the data center sector.

The chip market is expected to grow by 24% this year

Analytical company IC Insights has updated its chip market forecast for the current year. The analysts note that all 33 categories of these products, as defined by World Semiconductor Trade Statistics, are in high demand from end users. Growth is expected in 32 categories, and in 29 of them by 10% or more. This is a fundamental difference between the current situation and market growth in past years, which was usually driven by success in only a few major categories.

However, these categories, as before, act as engines of growth. These include specialized logic chips for industrial electronics (this category is forecast to grow 47%), DRAM memory chips (41%), specialized logic chips for automotive electronics (39%), specialized logic chips for consumer electronics (38%), smartphone processors (34%), analog chips for automotive electronics (31%) and display drivers (also 31%).

What is the cheapest country to start a business?

In some countries, the cost of doing business is extremely low in order to stimulate economic activity. Others impose high or nearly unaffordable duties to protect existing businesses or simply to profit from entrepreneurial spirit.

At first glance, the cheapest regions for starting a business are Central Asia and Africa. But this is not the case!

The cheapest countries in terms of dollars for a new startup are Venezuela, Rwanda and Slovenia. While the former has only $0.21 in fees, Rwanda and Slovenia have no fees for new ventures, although Slovenia requires capital of 7,500 euros.

Expensive countries are in Europe, including Italy at $4,876 and Austria at $2,475, and in North and South America, including Suriname at $3,030 and Ecuador at $1,630.

The most expensive countries, however, are mostly in the Middle East. These include UAE #1 at $7,444, Qatar #4 at $3,952 and Lebanon #6 at $2,855.

The most affordable countries for starting a business include the United Kingdom, Denmark and Ireland in Europe, South Korea in East Asia, and New Zealand in Oceania. In each of them, the cost of starting a business is only 1-2% of monthly income.

A similar pattern is seen in North and South America, where Chile and Canada have the lowest relative costs - 2% and 5% of monthly income, respectively. Even in the United States, where the cost of starting a business is quite high at $725, the cost of starting a business is relatively affordable at 16% of monthly income.

The least affordable countries are in Africa. In many countries on the continent, start-up costs exceed 100% of monthly income.

And here's all the styling on one chart

Raymond James takes an in-depth look at the auto parts retail sector, looking at trends and estimates for the second half of the year. Advance Auto Parts stands out in Raymond James' rankings.

Company - Advance Auto Parts (#AAP)
Target price from Raymond James - $250 (+18%)

AAP is an American supplier of automotive parts.

Why is it worth buying?

The rating of Advance Auto Parts has been upgraded from "better than market" to "actively buy" as the stock has upside prospects after the company reported fairly strong quarterly results. Analysts call the company a top pick in the segment.

Advance has the highest growth potential among auto parts retailers next year. The company has a favorable risk/return ratio with a fragmented industry (no clear leaders in market share) that could show very strong growth rates through the end of 2022.

Eli Lilly (+8.2%) is in the lead. Last week, the company published its financial results for Q2: net income fell 2% YoY, while revenues rose 23% YoY. Despite the fact that the figures were slightly worse than analysts' expectations, the papers are growing due to optimism about future results.

Shares of pharmaceutical company Pfizer rose 5.5%. The growth was due to excellent financial results for Q2 and positive expectations for future performance. Additional support for the stock was provided by the announcement of positive results of a study of the drug Areata, designed to treat alopecia.

Slightly worse than the market looked the shares of companies providing services of payment transactions: Mastercard (-3%) and Visa (-2%).
