About the speaker:
Professor Polimenis is currently the Vice-Rector on Research and Innovation, with the State Fiscal Institute in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. In the past, he has been a faculty with the Anderson Graduate School of Management, University of California-Riverside, a Professor of Financial Management at the Neapolis University of Cyprus, an Associate Professor of Financial Management with Pepperdine University, Malibu California, and a Professor of Financial Management, with the Webster University in Vienna.
Dr Polimenis holds a PhD in Finance from the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, a UC Berkeley Computer Science MSc, and graduated at the top of his class at the Computer Engineering Department of Patras University in Greece. In his PhD, he pioneered the practical use of affine models in financial valuation and has been recognized as a Fellow for Research Excellence in Finance, Lehman Brothers, New York in 2000 (finalist best US PhD in Finance), a Dean’s Fellow with the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, a Regent’s Fellow for Distinguished Merit of the University of California, Berkeley, a Honorary Lifetime Member of Beta Gamma Sigma Society, Fellowship for excellence in engineering with the Hellenic Technical Chamber (TEE) and the National Fellowship Foundation (IKY), Greece.
