This video should help you to do the right thing.

1. Close your left eye. You will partially see your nose, that’s the blob on the lower left. You will, of course, not actually see your eyebrows “from within”, that’s artistic freedom from Ernst Mach, on whose beautiful drawing the present demonstration is based.
2. Fully stretch out your left arm, make a partial fist, index finger pointing straight up, thumb pointing straight to the right. Fixate the top of your index finger (indicated by the bull’s eye).
3. Fully stretch out your right arm, shape like for the left hand. Let your thumbs just touch, and wiggle your right index finger a little (arrows).
4. Keep your gaze on the top of the left index finger, but with your “inner eye” observe the top of the right index finger – don’t directly look at it, keep your gaze steadily on the left index finger.

The basic observation: Your right index finger should seem to vanish at its top.

A ring of large blueish disks and a smalle orange disk, and everything moves. The blue disks change size, does the orange disk change its size too?

If you’re a little like me, you see the the orange disk as smaller when it’s in the middle, and growing larger when moving to the bottom right. The effect increases when you fixate the blue dot on the top left blue disk.

If you wish to test, you can make a pair of parallel lines, which will indicate that the orange disk has constant diameter throughout. However, the illusion is so strong that the lines will bulge!

Find the face among the beans.The picture is accompanied by all sorts of inferences on your mental development depending on delay until you find the face in there, which are, hmm, lame, even though they begin with “According to recent medical evidence…”.

By the way: Yes, there really is a face in there! Once you’ve seen it, there is no doubt any more (a case of “one-shot learning”). And you can't unsee it anymore.

Nope, it wasn't editer, or modified, but it's again about the perspective. To have a magnificent photo all you need to do is just to find the right ttime and the right angle.

I was really thinking she was floating - took me a while to realize what's going on here.

These are rotating face masks, the left calculated for proper lighting conditions, the right filmed from an actual object. Note that the ‘hollow’; (negative) version of the face immediately switches back into a positive view, one cannot ‘hold’; it.

Positive and negative versions of the mask only differ in the position of the assumed light source, and a face is such a strong percept that it overcomes the “history” which is the only cue that the face is negative.
