These numbers highlight the urgent need to include young people in peacemaking processes The UN Security Council resolutions note that including young people in negotiations helps build long-term, sustainable peace. Our conversations at the Doha Debates Portal will connect young LDC5 attendees with their peers in Kigali, Rwanda, and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to explore the power of youth-inclusive, gender-balanced peace and mediation processes, and how this new generation of leaders can advance peace-building in conflict-torn regions.
