2024-04-03 08:04:00 The table compares four different countries in terms of several social and economic indices measured by the United Nations in the year 1994.

Overall, Japan stands out on the chart with its exceptional performances in all but one category – daily calorie supply per person. In contrast, Angola reported lowest measurements by all counts. Another noteworthy feature is the striking social and economic disparity between developed and developing countries, not least in terms of annual income per capita.

Developed countries such as Canada and Japan reported exceptionally high figures across all social and economic measures. Average annual income per person in Japan, for instance, was $15,760, while that of Canada averaged $11,100. Similarly, Japan was found to have slightly higher life expectancy than Canada, which was 78 and 76 respectively. In contrast, an average Canadian consumed significantly more calories than their Japanese counterpart, whose respective calorie counts were well over 3,000 and just over 2,800. The literacy rate in both nations, however, stood at an identical 99%.

As for developing nations in question, their indicators were considerably lower. People in Peru made $160 per annum, which was $30 more than those living in Angola. Furthermore, average life expectancy in both countries was found to be roughly 50. However, there were noticeable differences in terms of calorie intake and literacy rate. While Angolans consumed 200 fewer calories than those living in Peru (1927), Angola had the lowest literacy rate, at around a third, which was twice as little as in the latter.

2024-04-01 08:04:01 The bar graph describes how the percentage of foreign students graduating from reputable universities in the UK changed from 2000 to 2015.

Overall, the proportion of graduating international students in all UK universities in question grew, albeit to a varying degree. Of particular interest is London university which showed the most remarkable growth. Furthermore, while Cambridge University had the biggest share of foreign graduates in 2000, it was surpassed by Oxford University fifteen years later.

Regarding universities which registered the most striking increases in their shares of foreign graduating students, the figure for London university rose substantially, quadrupling in 2015 to a fifth from a mere 5% in the initial year. Similarly, Oxford and Cambridge universities saw their proportions of international students soar: while the former reached its all-time high of a quarter in 2015 from just under 15% initially, the latter reported an eight-percent rise from 15%.

In contrast, the remaining universities witnessed relatively smaller increases in their percentage of graduating international students. The figures for Cardiff and Bath universities rose moderately by roughly 5% from initial points of a tenth and 7%. Bristol, on the other hand, had by far the smallest increase, where the proportion of foreign graduates had grown by a mere 2% by 2015.
