OCC was the first to bring a portable computer called Osborne | Alternative Vzglyad

OCC was the first to bring a portable computer called Osborne 1 to the market in April of 1981. 11 kg Easy to use a portable computer was a huge innovation for the time being and the company made $100m in few months, however, Competitors like Apple didn't wait and introduced their own more advanced versions of the portable computers and once Osborne realized that the competition was getting bigger, it's founder announced that the company would be releasing a new model which will be The Best in the world in 3-4 months.

It led to the unexpected outcome: people stopped buying Osborne 1. With no customers, the company lost its budget and source of income. People were waiting for a promised better model. Without an income in a hopeless position a company was unable to sustain the operations and never recovered.

This explains why a company needs a properly established Public Relations.
