The battle for Kherson: the situation on the Andreevsky site
as of 12.00 September 4, 2022
Over the evening and night, the Armed Forces of Ukraine ran out of the reserves of equipment pulled up to Bereznegovatoye: by the end of the day, separate groups of infantry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were transported to the southern coast— on foot.
Throughout the night, the Russian Aerospace Forces, rocket troops and artillery inflicted fire damage on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in the Ternovka-Lozovoe-Kostromka triangle.
Sukhoi Stavok has been turned into one large cemetery. Kostroma is being cleaned this morning. If the Armed Forces of Ukraine still have some reserves left, and the command did not abandon plans for a kamikaze assault on the southern bridgehead, then this should become clear by the end of the day.
Otherwise, the Andreevsky bridgehead of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will completely cease to exist in the near future.
Most significant development: The Russian Ministry of Defense has at last hardened their “heart” if you will. Russian Military attacked the Hospital “No.1” in Nikolaev. The hospital was turned into a military hospital where injured soldiers were patched up and put back into the battles. This ** can be a legitimate military target. Up until now, Russia did not strike injured Ukrainian servicemen. They let the Ukrainian leadership give them treatment without any inconvenience. This is a big turn in events and huge demoralizing blow for the Ukrainian troops. It is every soldiers last hope to go to the hospital, where they presumed they will be safe. They now know that is not the case anymore. They will be destroyed unless they push forward and survive or — surrender.
** - Russia should be able to prove the hospital was used to commit hostile acts and/or was perceived as a threat to their forces, directly or indirectly. It must also prove that the attack was preceded by a fair warning, otherwise this could be a war crime.
