នៅថ្ងៃទី៩ ខែកក្កដា ឆ្នាំ២០២១ មជ្ឈមណ្ឌលមេគង្គសម្រាប់ការសិក្សាយុទ្ធសាស្ត្រ (MCSS) នៃវិទ្យាស្ថានចក្ខុវិស័យអាស៊ី (AVI) ក្នុងកិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការជាមួយវិទ្យាស្ថាន Daniel K. Inouye អាស៊ី-ប៉ាស៊ីហ្វិកសម្រាប់ការសិក្សាសន្តិសុខ (DKI APCSS) បានរៀបចំសិក្ខាសាលាលើកទី៣ ស្ដីពី«ក្តីប្រាថ្នារបស់កម្ពុជាសម្រាប់ការធ្វើជាប្រធានអាស៊ានប្រកបដោយភាពជោគជ័យនៅឆ្នាំ២០២២៖ សហគមន៍សេដ្ឋកិច្ច» តាមរយៈប្រព័ន្ធវីដេអូ Zoom។ មានអ្នកចូលរួម ចំនួនជាង ១០០នាក់មកពីបណ្តាស្ថាប័នក្រសួងរដ្ឋាភិបាល អង្គការក្រៅរដ្ឋាភិបាល អង្គការអន្តរជាតិ វិទ្យាស្ថានស្រាវជ្រាវ ស្ថាប័នសិក្សា ស្ថានទូតបរទេសនៅទីក្រុងភ្នំពេញ អ្នកសង្កេតការណ៍នៅក្នុងប្រទេសកម្ពុជា និងស្ថានបេសកកម្មអាមេរិកប្រចាំអាស៊ានបានចូលរួមក្នុងសិក្ខាសាលានេះ។ សិក្ខាសាលានេះបានពិភាក្សាអំពីបញ្ហា និងគោលដៅអាទិភាពពាក់ព័ន្ធនឹងការកសាងសហគមន៍សេដ្ឋកិច្ចអាស៊ាន។ បញ្ហា និងគោលដៅអាទិភាពទាំងនេះ នឹងត្រូវបានដោះស្រាយនៅពេលដែលកម្ពុជាធ្វើជាប្រធានអាស៊ាននៅឆ្នាំ២០២២។ គោលនយោបាយជាក់ស្តែង និងធាតុចូលមួយចំនួនត្រូវបានលើកយកមកពិភាក្សា ដើម្បីសម្រេចឲ្យបានជោគជ័យនូវការធ្វើជាម្ចាស់ផ្ទះរបស់ កម្ពុជា។ វីដេអូទាំងស្រុងរបស់សិក្ខាសាលានេះមាននៅលើ ប្រព័ន្ធផ្សព្វផ្សាយរបស់ AVI ហើយ។

On 9th July 2021, the Mekong Centre for Strategic Studies (MCSS) of Asian Vision Institute (AVI), in collaboration with Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI APCSS), organised the 3rd webinar on “Cambodia’s Aspirations for a Successful ASEAN Chairmanship, 2022: The Economic Community” via zoom. More than 100 participants from Cambodian government ministries, NGOs, IGOs, think-tanks, academic institutions, foreign embassies in Phnom Penh, observers in Cambodia and the US mission to ASEAN attended the webinar. The webinar discussed the issues and priorities related to the realisation of the ASEAN Economic Community. These issues and priorities will need to be addressed when Cambodia assumes its ASEAN chairmanship in 2022. Some practical policy recommendations and inputs were drawn upon for the successes of the Kingdom’s chairmanship. The whole recording of the webinar is now available on AVI channels.

2021-07-10 06:14:58 Dr Chheang Vannarith, President of AVI, presented a paper on "Cambodia-China cooperation under the framework of a community of shared future" at the inauguration ceremony of the establishment of the Cambodian Study Centre at the Chinese Academy of South and Southeast Asian Studies (Kunming). He expressed his support to the Cambodian Study Centre, which he believes will contribute more to educational and cultural exchanges and the promotion of collaborative researches and exchange of scholars between the two countries. He argues that the concept of building a community with a shared future is compatible with Cambodia's foreign policy objectives and national interests. He said Cambodia is the first country in Southeast Asia that signed the action plan forging a community with a shared future with China (April 2019). Under the five pillars with 30 sectoral cooperation, the action plan is the backbone of expanding and deepening the bilateral relationship. Open / Comment

2021-07-09 07:52:56 On 9th July 2021, Mr. Chhem Siriwat, Director of the Centre for Inclusive Digital Economy (CIDE) at the Asian Vision Institute (AVI), was mentioned in BBC Travel - Culinary Roots “Prahok: The Pungent Fish Elevating Cambodian Cuisine”.

"Prahok has formed the daily diet of Khmer people for centuries," said Chhem Siriwat, who published a paper titled Food Diplomacy for Cambodia’s Nation Branding last year. He notes that prahok formed the "foundation of the daily lives of kings and peasants alike". And while the world is very familiar with Thai and Vietnamese cuisine next door, Cambodian cuisine is still relatively unknown. Siriwat is hoping that prahok can help introduce diners to the nation's broader culinary culture. "Prahok enhances the taste and aesthetics of the rich diversity of Khmer dishes," said Siriwat. "If promoted correctly, prahok could be an essential ingredient to highlight the powerful flavour profile and uniqueness of Khmer cuisine, a strong act of nation branding."
