2021-07-08 11:57:52 Dr Chheang Vannarith, President of AVI, sharing his views on building a peace regime in the Korean peninsula. A peace regime embodies comprehensive frameworks and actions, multi-sectoral, multi-track, and multi-layered dialogues and cooperation. Building a peaceful and stable Korean peninsula is the shared wisdom of the international community. To realise this wisdom, concrete actions on the ground are needed. In this connection, Track Two Diplomacy plays a complementary but necessary role to shape the perception and behaviour of concerned stakeholders.

2021-07-08 11:38:51 Dr Chheang Vannarith, President of AVI, told The Phnom Penh Post that nothing is more valuable than freedom, independence and sovereignty and that foreign policy begins at home with national interests placed first. “Cambodia’s core national interests are peace, prosperity and prestige,” he said. He added that Cambodia’s foreign policy objectives should always support these four pillars – building an independent nation, building a prosperous nation, building an intelligent nation and building a resilient nation.

លោកបណ្ឌិត ឈាង វណ្ណារិទ្ធ ប្រធានវិទ្យាស្ថាន AVI ចូលរួម កិច្ចប្រជុំក្រុមប្រឹក្សាជាតិវិទ្យាសាស្ត្រ បច្ចេកវិទ្យានិងនវានុវត្តន៍ (NCSTI) លើកទី ១ ។ ក្រុមប្រឹក្សានេះត្រូវបានបង្កើតឡើងនៅខែតុលាឆ្នាំ ២០២០ ។ ផ្លូវនៃវិទ្យាសាស្ត្រ បច្ចេកវិទ្យានិងនវានុវត្តន៍ (STI) ឆ្នាំ ២០៣០ ផ្តោតលើសសរស្តម្ភចំនួន៥៖ គឺអភិបាលកិច្ច សិក្សាធិកា ស្រាវជ្រាវ ការសហការ និងប្រព័ន្ធអេកូឡូស៊ី។ នៅឆ្នាំ ២០៣០ គេរំពឹងថា ថវិការស្រាវជ្រាវនិងអភិវឌ្ឍន៍ នឹងឈានដល់ ១% នៃផសស។

Dr Chheang Vannarith, President of AVI, attending the 1st Meeting of the National Council of Science, Technology & Innovation (NCSTI). The Council was established in October 2020. The STI roadmap 2030 focuses on five pillars: governance, education, research, collaboration, and ecosystem. By 2030, it is expected that the R&D budget will reach 1% of GDP. Open / Comment

The aims of the event were to share research findings and discuss possible cooperation between Italy and ASEAN for achieving goals on such a strategic field for the future of the two regions. 2021-07-07 04:49:43 On 6th July 2021, as part of AVI’s Flagship Training Programme on “Geopolitics and Foreign Policy Analysis” for Cambodian journalists, Dr. Keo Piseth, Vice President of AVI, delivered a special lecture on “International Cooperation on Climate Change” to the trainees. In this session, he highlighted (1) the scientific studies on environmental issues and climate change, (2) the politics of climate change, (3) climate change issues in ASEAN, and (4) Cambodia's contribution to climate change mitigation and adaptation, and environmental management in both regional and international levels.

នយោបាយូបនីយកម្មនៃបម្រែបម្រួលអាកាសធាតុ (៣) បញ្ហាបម្រែបម្រួលអាកាសធាតុនៅអាស៊ាន និង (៤) ការចូលរួមចំណែករបស់កម្ពុជានៅក្នុងការកាត់បន្ថយនិងការប្រែប្រួលអាកាសធាតុ ក៏ដូចជាការគ្រប់គ្រងបរិស្ថាន ថ្នាក់តំបន់ និងអន្តរជាតិ។
