2023-01-09 19:22:01 Would you buy an FTX business right now? Over 100 parties are interested in buying part of the bankrupt crypto exchange FTX, court documents reviewed by @BusinessInsider show.

The debtors said they had received "dozens of unsolicited inbound inquiries" and the sales are important to maximize the estate's value, with the hopes of reimbursing FTX customers. Auctions are set to begin on February 27.

That's according to social psychologist, author, and NYU professor Jonathan Haidt, who said that while the gender gaps across some fields have improved in recent decades, they "might begin to widen in the 2030s."

2023-01-06 01:58:01 The Russian invasion of their country has forced all manner of difficulties on the Ukrainian people, with everyday life overturned for millions of people.

One aspect of the invasion has been the creation of a vast filtration system, which has caused detentions, interrogations, and forced deportations for hundreds of thousands of — if not over a million — Ukrainians.

One of those Ukrainians was Ihor Talalay, who has testified to his and others' experiences of harsh interrogations, squalid conditions, and arbitrary detention by Russian forces. He spent three months in the filtration system in the Donetsk region and has spoken out about what's happening to the Ukrainians who enter the system, and what life is like when you emerge from it.

2023-01-05 19:23:01 Putin has ordered a 36-hour-long truce in Ukraine over the upcoming Orthodox Christmas holiday. The ceasefire will last from 12 p.m. local time on January 6 until 12 a.m. local time on January 7.

The Kremlin's announcement of the upcoming ceasefire came after calls from the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, to temporarily stop fighting so people could attend church services, state media TASS reported.
