-I opened my file and was about to take it out, he snatched my file and said sit down.
P1) Looking at my CAT scorecard, you have scored pretty high. How? Did you cheat?
A)I smiled and said, no sir.
P2)How do we know?
A)There were security cameras at the exam center.
P1) What is the probability of you cheating when there are security cameras?
A) Thought for a second and said I can't determine the exact probability but it will be very low. Started explaining that there will be multiple variables….P2 interrupted
P2) What is probability?
A) Explained
P2) How do we calculate probability?
A) Answered.
P1) Have you heard about conditional probability? Explain?

Work ex- 28 months in Alstom as a Railway signalling engineer
Three panelists,  1 Ops professors and 2 were Alumni.
Greeted them

1) Who is the railway minister?
Answered
2) Who was before him?
Answered, Piyush Goyal
3) And before him?
Suresh Prabhu
4) What was the statement given by railway minister after budget?
Answered, told some numbers, he interrrupted, said.
5)Consider urself as railway minister and pitching to common people to get votes. what will u speak in that case?
Gave outline about railway concessions , IRCTC ticket revamping, he seemed satisfied.
6) So railways use DC or AC?
Answered, gave the urban perspective (third rail in metros 600-750 V DC) and mainline (25 KV 50 Hz to 3.3kv 16.75 Hz). Also told why AC traction is better and mainline railways is moving towards it.
7) Tell me which companies come under indian railways and what all they do?
answered, told about functions of RVNL, IRCON,BEML, IRCTC,ICF . Also added the PPP partnerships in india with Alstom, Titagarh, M/s Stork, Siemens etc.
8) Why is titagarh is news recently?
Told, couLdnt rememer exactly but i think it was about Vande bharat contract.
9) Tell me exactly how you are contributing to railways with your current work?
Told , how as a interlocking engineer, i am making sure when we are travel between one station section to block section and then next station section, all the line side equipment should work effectively so that conflicting movements do not occur and derailments and accidents are avoided.

P3:- I hv no questions for him.
Done, No HR questions at all, All on work ex.Panelists did not turn their camera on, except one. Nice experience. Answered all except that Titagarh question. Overall (15-20 mins).

8) Does that mean there is no hope for India to reduce inequality ?

Two panelists. One sir (40+) and ma’am (35+). Were friendly and inviting.

P1 (sir)
1.  TMAY in 1 -2 mins
2.  Are you still working (they had a doubt from the application form)
3.  You are an engineer, and now a Marketing Executive. So which specialization are you looking for?
4. Why do you think investments are less in the semiconductor industry in India despite having money and resources?
5.  Why do you feel women are still under-represented in the society? What is the cause and what do you suggest as remedy? [spoke about awareness, literacy, empowerment]
6.  [counter qn] So do you suggest literacy for both men and women? And do you suggest more  initiatives like maternity leave to help women in a urban environment?

P2: (ma’am)
1. What is empowerment to you? [explained saying giving opportunities, resources and helping upskill]
2. Do you feel just skill development is empowerment? [tried to explain but she was not very satisfied]
3. Probably you need to reflect more.

- Workex questions : exact role, some technical questions
- out of the blue : define planning?  How did you plan for this PI?
- election related questions, Which states had their results yesterday. Tipra motha party from which state, Name 5 N-E states and their capitals :: was able to answer all correctly
- chemical engg - I admitted that I'm a bit out of touch since it's 3.5 yrs. They asked some basic questions like what is solvent? What are hydrocarbons? 
- any non technical subject I'm interested in - mentioned organizational behaviour. Difference between vertical and horizontal org structure. Which is better for decision making?
- why chem engg to IT. Why grad marks low (not in a grilling way, explained reasons and my learnings, no further cross question)
- any college extra curriculars ? (Mentioned Rotaract, projects I helped spearhead such as menstruation awareness)
- Russia Ukraine war. Why did Russia invade. What is G20.

It was conversational overall
