Started my intro ( My name is Amrita) and she interrupted and told me she has seen my profile, she knows I am active in college societies, internships and nGOs, so lets cut down intro part and tell me 2 things about Miranda  ....

F : asked me about sone economics question as it was my GE subject ( out of 3 told 1)

M: Started asking me psychological question then I remined them sir, I am majoring in philosophy.

F: Your sub mentioned eco why are you saying majoring in philosophy
Told the reason

F : don't worry we have 100 of question prepared for you. ( I smiled and said definelty ma'am)

F: tell me what did philosophy is about
Told nicely with example the  got interuppted in between by panelist that we got to know. ( both of them was satisfied)

F : tell me about euthanisa

F: define ethunaisa in terms of philosophical context

F: what do you think about euthanisa , is it right or wrong ?

F: asked 2 more question about eco ( some terms to define which I didn't answer, but I told them I am not able to recollect at this moment properly, they said no worries it happens )

M1 read out my form answering my TMAY themselves
M1: How did the Engineering to Product Management transition happen?
M1: Why not a job in engineering after IIT?
M1: How many professionals stay in engineering leadership after 5-7 years down the line?
M1: How much drainage (engineering students going for non-engineering careers) do you think happens in IIT?
M1: If you were assigned the task to reduce this drainage, how would you go about solving this problem? Explain the thought process of understanding the problem as well. (not verbatim, it was asked like a case interview question)
Me: Came up with a framework
M1 & F1: Back and forth for the next 15-20 min on each stage where I defended the assumptions stated

F1: Pulled back to the before engineering part and asked in detail.
F1: What do I do in my current role?
F1: She says that she doesn't think I need an MBA, leading to "why MBA?"
F1: What is your take on women in India?
(kinda taken aback and asked her for more perspective. Realised after 10s that it was contextual indeed: there was a women-led biz networking event held downstairs.)

WAT: Success stories are far more pivotal than failure stories.  (25 mins, no word limit)

Panelists: 1F (young, very grilling), 1M (asked the acad questions)
Panel was extremely grilling - I did my best to hold my stand and keep smiling but yeah it was a weird panel

1. Why acads in beginning are low?
2. Grilled me on Bharatnatyam a bit (I had it listed as a hobby) - name classical dances in India and states from which they originated
3. Gurukuls teaching Bharatnatyam
4. Why MBA - why HR, Functions of HR, why HR is a dying field (grilled me a lot here)
5. What signalling determined our evolution on finger length?
6. How does DNA double helix help in human development?
7. How does protein help in cell development?
8. Which Indian won Nobel Prize in Biology - I said not Bio, but 2 in Medicine.
9. Do I read newspapers, awareness with share market - None (roasted me there lol)
10. Education minister and Home Minister of WB - I answered both correctly still they said to read newspaper and politics more and I went okie
11. Questions on my MS thesis works
12. If I did any internships

Then they asked me to leave.

I did my best to keep smiling throughout even though I was confused and exhausted lol but fingers crossed

5. Name the iocl refineries that are present in Assam and which is the oldest one amongst them and when was it set up.

- Name us something thats not in your application (said I've produced music professionally, and that I was a blogger for a journalism firm)
- What do you mean by professionally producing music? (said I have released multiple projects, formally signed under a record label)
- Can you name me those projects? (did)
- If you're doing so well in music, why don't you stick to it rather than doing an MBA? (was ready for this question)
- So you've done Hotel Management, right? Why did you switch your career into the Sales industry? (was ready for this one too)
- (I did my ug in Bangalore but am from a small town, and am currently working in my hometown only) But if you graduated from Bangalore, why did you not try to get a Sales position in that city? I would argue that it would have better opportunities for you? (initially fumbled this but was able to recover it towards the end)
- Okay, tell me more about the Culinary aspect of the course. What cuisine do you specialise in? (said Italian cuisine)
- Can you name me some famous dishes from Italy? (did, mostly a combination of Veg and Non-veg)
- What if I'm a Vegetarian? Will I still be able to pursue this course despite my reservation? (said yes, that there were seperate cooking stalls for those who opted for vegetarian-only classes)
- Don't you think they'll be at a disadvantage when going for placements? As a full-menu restuarant will not hire such chefs? (I said no, because certain Vegan or Vegetarian restaurants in big-name hotels are actually favouring such students).
- Differentiate between Vegans and Vegitarians? (did)
- You have quite poor percentages in schooling. How do you think you will be able to tackle an MBA, a very demanding course? (was also ready for this, had screwed this question up once in a past interview)
- What was your CAT percentile again? (answered)
- And are all your sectionals above minimum cutoffs? (said yes)
- Then you must have atleast few interviews from other reputed colleges (mega hint at BLACKIS). Do you? (said yes, I do)
- Well, good luck for those. You may sign off now. (Was so relieved when they didn't ask my "why XIMB then?". I was very unsure of the answer I had prepared.)

Overall it was actually a really chill experience. They didn't grill me a single bit and acknowledged all my points. Some cross-questioning was there but that's to be expected.
