2021-04-01 18:43:14 Why is collocation important?

No piece of natural spoken or written English is totally free of collocation. Choosing the right collocation will make your speech and writing sound much more natural and native-speaker-like. Language that is collocation rich is also more precise. The exact meaning of a word is determined by the words that surround and combine with that word - by collocation. When you choose the best collocation you will be able to express yourself much more clearly and convey not just a general meaning, but something more precise. Compare, for example, the following two sentences:

This is a good book and contains a lot of interesting details.

This is a fascinating book and contains a wealth of historical detail.

Both sentences are perfectly ‘correct’ in terms of grammar and vocabulary, but the second clearly communicates more, and is also more likely to engage the reader with its better style.

2021-03-31 19:36:14 WRITING BUNDLE (VIDEO COURSE + ESSAY CORRECTION)

I am receiving a lot of requests from all parts of Uzbekistan to launch another cohort of my online Writing course. Given a very heavy schedule I work to, I don't think I can launch the same course any time soon. So, I have come up with a solution to help you improve your Writing score, which is to give you access to course materials. The lessons took place on ZOOM, allowing students to ask questions when necessary. I did my best to make those lessons as interactive as possible. The lessons were also recorded so that I could share them later for students to be able to view them again. Along with the recorded videos, I also sent lesson notes and pdfs. Buying the course gives access to all of these materials. But it doesn't end here. You will also be able to 2 REPORTS and AN ESSAY checked to apply what you learnt in the course to use. I will upload examples below. Here is what we covered in 16 lessons,

LESSON 1 Understanding Band Descriptors for Task 1

2021-03-31 06:32:28 Wow. This is my brother’s channel. He has already made more than 300 videos, that is at least 600 hours of learning material. If you are learning math and you need help with any topic, you could search for it on his channel, I am sure he must have made a video explaining problems related to that topic

2021-03-29 11:29:20 The total number of all species of wild birds in the UK has been relatively stable over the last two decades, although there were significant drops in numbers between 1977 and 1979 and again in 1982 and 1986. Since 1994 there has been an improvement in numbers of all species, although the graph shows a slight decrease in 2000.

In contrast, the population of farmland birds has suffered a severe decline, particularly in 1978 when number fell dramatically. The rate of decline in the population appears to have slowed and it has remained relatively stable since 2000.

There was a fall in the number of woodland birds of around 30% between 1974 and 1992. The population increased slightly in 2000 but it had dropped again by 2004.

It is only coastal species that have seen a steady increase in population over this period. Their numbers dropped slightly in 1995 and again in 2003 but the overall trend has been a positive one.
