There have been claims Pogba always intended to secure a free transfer away but the player's inner circle have strongly refuted those assertions - Pogba remains open to re-signing and is suspicious of the origin of claims he has already decided to leave.

Claims that Paul Pogba is using the fact he has the contractual upper hand over #mufc to his advantage has led to frustration from within the player's camp.

Pogba made it known to #mufc chiefs that he would be open to signing a new contract in the summer of 2019 but #mufc decided against offering him one. They have made one formal offer since - earlier this summer, but he did not wish to sign that specific deal.

Pogba is waiting for #mufc to make another offer. As of now, the club are yet to return with a second offer. There is confusion as to why he is being painted as the antagonist given the club have so far made one formal offer.
