Due to humidity in mumbai, your fingers might get a lot of moisture.

Me: Good morning officer. Kindly hand me your documents.
//I handed a bunch of documents including appointment confirmation, ds160 confirmation, sevis fee receipt, visa fee receipt,
//i20. All of them were held together by a binder clip. I will suggest not to use it as it becomes inconvenient for VO.
//For example, my VO was unable to find the I20 in my bunch.
VO: This arrangement is a bit inconvenient
Me: I am sorry for that officer.
//By this time the officer had found my i20 and sevis receipt.
//From here the questions were a bit like rapid fire and she was typing continuously
VO: what was your undergrad GPA?
Me: 9.41
VO: out of 10?
Me: Yes
//She was surprised.
VO: what was your undergrad in?
Me: Bachelors in Computer Engineering
VO: To how many universities did you apply?
Me: 8
VO: and how many admits did you get?
Me: 3. Apart from SJSU, i got admits from ASU and USC.
VO: who is going to sponsor you?
Me: my father
VO: what does he do?
Me: He a deputy engineer at State government entity working on water supply and sanitation.
VO: how much does he earn?
ME: Told
VO: Are you planning on taking a loan?
Me: yes, taking a loan of 40lakhs from HDFC credila
VO: What are your future plans? (VO now made direct eye contact)
Me: I intend to return back to India. My manager and I have verbal agreement to return back to the company after completing my masters.
VO: What is your current designation at the company?
Me: Software engineer
VO: Which company?
Me: Told.
VO typed for a few seconds and said the golden words
VO: Place your left hand 4 fingers. I am approving your visa.
Me: Thank you so much
VO: enjoy your day
Me: You too

1) Dress sharply. First impression lasts.
2) Be fluent in your answers and be concise in answering them.
3) Make proper eye contact
4) Maintain proper posture while answering the questions.
5) Prepare your answers by practicing in mirror. It helps a lot
