2022-06-23 18:40:21 I travel back and forth to Amarillo from Colorado. I would frequent the nearby IHOP near the the hotel where I was put up. One evening I went for dinner and two homeless men were in the entry way sitting. I saw them and was immediately seated by the staff due to the late hour and slow business. After being seated it was on my heart those two men. So I went back to the front and I asked if they would like to join me for dinner. They accepted and joined me at my table. After the food arrived one of the gentlemen proceeded to pray. And quite loudly and lengthy too. I was a little embarrassed at first because of the attention amongst the sparse customers. After we began to eat. A waitress, not mine, came up and said she had never witnessed anything like that before. The whole experience had a very surreal feeling about it. Later the verse, “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” whether that was the case I cannot say. I'll never forget it though. Open / Comment

2022-06-23 13:47:11 Not my story, but a man we know personally has three children. His first two, daughter and son, have grown up to be Christian and very happily married with kids, but he has had one son who left home and became a drug addict and has been living on the streets for years. He and his wife have prayed for this son for years and years until they have felt like they've exhausted their prayers. This lost son has always been in their hearts and minds, but they didn't even know where he was or if he was even alive. All they knew is that he was living on the streets somewhere and a drug addict.

10 years ago this man was at Walmart heading into the store from the parking lot and a woman stranger came running up to him full speed across the parking lot. She ran up to him and told him, "Excuse me, I just need to give you a message that God gave me. Your son will return home in ten years." Then this woman turned around and walked back to her car. He was stunned and didn't know what to think. The memory of this event at Walmart parking lot has stayed with all these years as they've hoped and prayed for their lost son.

Well that was in 2012, and this year he shared with us that his son checked into a rehab clinic, called them up and talked to them to ask for lyrics to a worship song that they used to sing for him, and he started reading the Bible and putting his faith in Jesus. And a few weeks ago he was baptized!!! Open / Comment

Wealth has a seductive nature to it that tells you to trust it and then leaves you high and dry.

The Lord does not leave you, ever.
