An article in the Washington Times of July 13, 1908.

In Los Angeles, California, contractors unearthed the skeleton of a giant man on Santa Monica Beach. The skeleton was over 9 feet tall (over 2.74 meters), and further excavations revealed 13 more such skeletons.

The three most complete specimens were brought back and displayed in Santa Monica. Scientists who studied them say that the skeletons are hundreds of years old, the skulls are Indian-shaped, with high cheekbones and other characteristic features.

I wonder where the unique exhibits disappeared to after the exhibition? And where did the other 10 that were unearthed on the beach disappear to?
