FLAPJACKS ANYONE??!! BUCKWHEAT AND OATS FLAPJACKS 1 cup buckwheat, 1 cup raw oats, 2 Tbsp chia seeds, 2 tsp baking powder, pinch pink salt, cinnamon, 1 cup plant milk, 3.5 cups water, 1 tsp vanilla. Add everything into a blender. Let stand for 10 min. Add sweetener of choice: 7 dates/grated apple/2 bananas. Blend until smooth. Heat a non-stick pan. Fry in a little oil until bubbles appear. Flip and cook until slightly brown. Serve sweet or savoury. Honey/sugar free jam and nut butter/peanut butter and banana, labne and fried banana, guacamole and spring onions. healthamplified.co.za

Recipe idea of the week! CHEESY BABY MARROW POLENTA BAKE. Cook polenta in salted boiling water. Pour into sprayed oven pan about 2 cm thick. Cool completely. Chop onion and fry, add sliced baby marrows, tomato puree or sundried tomato pesto. Simmer until marrows are tender. Add chopped spinach, fresh or dried herbs and salt to taste. Simmer until spinach has just wilted. Top the polenta base with the baby marrow mixture. Sprinkle with a little strong grated cheese, parmesan or vegan cheese. Grill until cheese has melted. Garnish with fresh rocket or basil leaves. Easy, simple and nourishing!

Recipe idea of the week! CREAMY BABY POTATO, CAULIFLOWER AND CHICKPEA CURRY. 1 Chopped red onion, half chopped garlic clove, 1tsp grated ginger, 1 Tbsp masala powder, 1 head cauliflower florets, 1 bag boiled baby potatoes, 1 can drained chickpeas, half to 1 can coconut milk, 1tsp tumeric, 1 cup hot water. Fry onion, garlic and spices. Add cauliflower. Gently fry. Add cubed boiled and quartered baby potatoes, milk and hot water. Simmer until thick and creamy. Add chickpeas and pink salt to taste. Serve in bowls or lift your dish by adding a wrap or roti, heated or toasted. Gluten free option if you can.
