2022-01-27 08:39:25 IDF: During the thwarting of a violent smuggling by IDF troops and Israel’s Border Police on the Egyptian border, two Israeli Border Police troops were lightly injured

Overnight, nine smuggling attempts of drugs took place across the Egyptian border. IDF troops who operated to thwart the activity spotted a number of suspects who began firing at them and responded with fire.
IDF troops confiscated 400 kilograms of drugs worth approximately 8,000,000 NIS.
Two Israeli Border Police were lightly injured as a result of misidentification that led into a double-sided shooting.

2022-01-25 17:37:30 IDF: IDF and Israel Police troops thwarted a weapon smuggling attempt in the Jordan Valley area

A short while ago, IDF and Israel Police troops apprehended three suspicious vehicles in the area of Route 90, inside of which weapons were found.

IDF and Israel Police "Yagal" Unit troops that were operating in the area apprehended the suspects in the smuggling attempt and confiscated 53 weapons: 39 handguns, 10 Kalashnikov assault rifles and four M16 assault rifles.

The suspects and weapons were transferred to the Israel Police.

2022-01-17 15:47:31 IDF: Following the initial report, an assailant arrived in a vehicle at the Gush Etzion Junction. The assailant, armed with a knife, got out of the vehicle and attempted to stab an IDF soldier. The soldier fired towards the assailant and neutralized him.

No IDF injuries were reported.

IDF troops are currently pursuing the assailant’s vehicle.

2022-01-11 20:04:55 IDF: Following the previous report, a terrorist driving by the community of Halamish accelerated his car towards a number of IDF troops who were securing the route. The terrorist hit an IDF soldier who has been evacuated to a hospital by an IAF helicopter that was dispatched to the scene.
