The role of carbon dioxide in heating up the planet is well acknowledged. While countries are making efforts to curb their carbon emissions, there is also the need to trap carbon dioxide that is currently being released to ensure that the planet’s temperature increases remain under control.
To achieve this, many are looking to capture carbon directly from the atmosphere and store it. However, Energy Dome plans to use the gas for energy storage. The best part is that the method is highly scalable and uses off-the-shelf products, a company press release claims.

Musk's Starlink service was not even online in Ukraine when the Russian aggression began. However, a tweet from Mykhailo Fedorov, the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, was all that was needed for Elon Musk to direct his company SpaceX to begin services in the region. In the 100 days of conflict that have ensued, Starlink has been helping Ukrainian soldiers connect with their superiors, tell their families they are safe, and even play 'Call of Duty' on their smartphones in their downtime, Politico reported.

With most automotive companies deciding to switch to electric vehicles, the end of the combustion engine seems near. So, it appears strange that a company would focus its efforts on improving a system with one foot already in the grave. However, TPS is pushing on with its technology and, after three years of testing and validation, is now closer to the production of its plasma ignition systems.

Offshore floating wind energy plants could be quite beneficial in the North Sea where wind speeds are historically high. Last year, we reported how Scotland's offshore floating 50 MW wind farm capable of powering 55,000 households was being readied for operation. As the year drew to a close, another wind farm off the coast of Yorkshire in the U.K. with a capacity to generate 1.3 GW of energy also went live.

2022-06-08 21:02:07 Israel-based Aquarius Engines unveiled a new hydrogen engine that it says could do away with the global reliance on hydrogen fuel cells and fossil fuels, the company explained in a press statement via PR Newswire.
The machine, which weighs only 22 lb (10 kg), is a single-piston-linear-engine, that runs exclusively on hydrogen. As it has only 20 components and one moving part, the engine is also much cheaper to produce and maintain than traditional engines.
Though Aquarius Engines has so far released little in the way of specifications for their new engine, the company says the Aquarius Hydrogen Engine's "lightweight design and unique internal-gas-exchange-method would greatly reduce emissions and lower the global carbon footprint."
