The third time unfortunately wasn't the charm for NASA's last wet dress rehearsal attempt of its moon-bound Space Launch System (SLS).
The U.S. space agency announced on April 16 that it would roll its launch vehicle back from the launch pad for a series of adjustments following the latest delay on its plans to conduct a wet dress rehearsal.
Now, NASA has announced attempt number four will start on June 5 with the rollout of the Artemis I moon rocket to the launch pad at Kennedy Space Center. "Right now the system's clean and everything is ready to go," said Tom Whitmeyer, NASA's deputy associate administrator for common exploration systems development.

People who drink coffee regularly, with or without sugar, both seem to benefit from the beverage as it cuts down on the risk of early death, The Guardian reported.
Grabbing a cup of coffee may just be something you do almost unconsciously as you sit down with your morning newspaper or before you start your workday. As the day wears on, you might be down three cups or maybe even five without giving it a second thought. However, scientists have been very conscious of the world’s coffee consumption.

Another spacecraft is close to joining the coveted list of machines to achieve successful human spaceflight following last week's launch and return of Boeing's Starliner crew capsule.
While Boeing will provide much-needed competition for SpaceX's Crew Dragon program, it will be only the second commercial capsule to take humans to the International Space Station (ISS).
Government agencies led the way for human spaceflight, and private companies are now taking the mantle. Here's a brief look at the history of human spaceflight and the spacecraft that made it possible.

Stratolaunch finally revealed the structurally complete Talon-A vehicle, TA-0, that will attach to the company's Roc aircraft, the largest plane in the world.
First revealed in a new issue of Aviation Week, the first Talon-A vehicle will be used to perform tests on the Roc's release system, which will be used to test hypersonic aircraft for customers including the U.S. Air Force.
The company also released images of the TA-0 attached to Roc's pylon on the center wing, to give an idea of what it will look like while in flight.

There is no shortage of dreamers today who believe that humanity can, will, or must explore space and establish a human presence among the stars. For some, this is a matter of meeting our true destiny and finding ourselves out there in the Universe.

For others, its all about the desire for new frontiers, new horizons, and new challenges. By leaving Earth and migrating to other planets and celestial bodies, humanity would be returning to its roots, making a home out of new lands, like our ancestors did hundreds of thousands of years ago.

With the launch of lunar orbital stations and the first Moon landing in years expected to take place this decade, scientists are increasingly setting their sights on technology that would allow future missions to mine the Moon for resources.

A team of researchers from the University of Arizona recently received a $500,000 grant from NASA to develop space-mining methods. The result is the development of a swarm of autonomous robots that could search and mine for rare earth metals on the Moon, a press release explains.

Tests are underway on a rocket technology that could vastly shorten the time it takes for humans to get to Mars, greatly reducing the risk of mechanical failures and other deadly space hazards on future Mars-bound astronauts.

Costa Rica and U.S.-based Ad Astra Rocket Company announced over the summer that it had completed a record 88-hour high-power endurance test of its Vasimr VX-200SS plasma rocket at 80 kW. The test, conducted at the company's Texas laboratory near Houston, constituted a new high-power world endurance record in electric propulsion.

Have you ever heard of the English Electric Lightning? It was an extremely capable British fighter jet that served as an interceptor during the 1960s, the 1970s, and into the late 1980s. As of today, it is still the only fighter capable of Mach 2 that was conceived and manufactured in the United Kingdom.

The vertical, staggered layout of its two Rolls-Royce Avon turbojet engines within the fuselage is an outstanding feature you should absolutely be aware of. Furthermore, it possessed an extraordinary rate of ascent, ceiling, and speed, with pilots describing flying it as "being saddled to a skyrocket".

Ukraine will put in all the efforts needed to resurrect Mriya, the Antonov An-225, the world’s largest cargo plane that was destroyed during the ongoing conflict in the country. President Volodymyr Zelensky has called it a “matter of ambition” that the aircraft is rebuilt, Interfax-Ukraine reported.

Not only was Mriya the world’s largest cargo plane, but also happened to be the only such plane ever built. Designed to carry heavy loads such as the Soviet-era Space Shuttle, Mriya was 275 feet long, and at 290 feet, it had an even longer wingspan. To do the heavy-lifting, the aircraft was equipped with six turbofan engines, each capable of producing 51,600 pounds of thrust at takeoff.
