Highlights:

- The risk of ICU admission in kids ages 0 to 17 was 8 per 100,000 (0.08%) and only 2 per 100,000 (0.02%) in kids 5 to 11.

- There were only 3 deaths among the 1,056,276 kids studied (0.0000284%); not a single child between 5 and 17 years old died.

- Children 5 to 11 years old have a lower risk than those <5 years old or 12 to 17 years old.

To put this in perspective, the risk of death from flu in children ages 0 to 17 during the 2019-2020 flu season in the U.S. was approximately 10 per 1 million, or 3.33-fold higher than the risk of death from COVID-19 in this German study.

This is great news for parents. The German study shows us that the risk of COVID-19 to all kids is very low—and even lower for healthy kids with no comorbidities or pre-existing health problems.

2021-11-30 18:08:42 Many people have reached out on my various social media accounts especially terrified parents that “cases are going up so shouldn’t we vax our 5 year olds?” The simple answer is NO. Copying and pasting a comment I wrote to someone here cause it’s worth repeating

While it’s true cases are creeping up in kids we all have to remember 3 very important factors:

1. It’s an extremely mild illness in kids. Some kids won’t even have symptoms but what can happen is their sibling does, so the whole family gets tested and then they are all positive.

2. It’s cold and flu season. Remember the days when half the class would be absent cause everyone caught the same flu? It’s just now we count every itty bitty case like it’s Ebola. Our government has a selective memory.

3. Kids are not strong vectors of transmission. It’s more likely a child will catch covid from an adult vs the other way around. Scroll all the way back to see the studies I’ve shared.

In conclusion, vaccinating children for COVID19 because cases are going up is ridiculous, anti-science and completely unethical. It makes ZERO sense when kids are not in any danger from this illness. Open / Comment

264 - This is the number of children the FDA is basing the immune response effectiveness of the vaccine for 5-11 year olds. You read that right. Just 264 kids.

“The FDA analyzed data that compared the immune response of 264 participants from this study to 253 participants 16 through 25 years of age who had two higher doses of the vaccine in a previous study which determined the vaccine to be effective in preventing COVID-19.”

That’s insane. Trials for other vaccines enroll thousands of children and last for years if not over a decade. The trial this vaccine is based on it total bogus. You can’t draw sound conclusions from such small numbers.

Additionally, 3 cases of COVID-19 occurred among 1,305 vaccine recipients and 16 cases of COVID-19 occurred among 663 placebo recipients. This where they get their “90.7% effective in preventing COVID-19”. This is small potatoes. Keep in mind it’s nothing more than a mild cold for kids. So why are we vaccinating kids again for something with zero long term studies? I truly hope parents critically think this through. This is not an emergency for kids. It’s total nonsense to subject kids to this experimental vaccine - which is exactly what it is when you consider the trials are not even complete until 2024 but the media nor your school won’t tell you that. The kids who get this will be the trial.
