Amazing architecture of Shore Temple, Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu.

Shore Temple is so named because it overlooks the Bay of Bengal. It is located near Chennai in Tamil Nadu, India.

Beautiful Hindu Goddess - But not in India !

The highest Murti of Dewi Danu in Indonesia standing majestically beside Lake Batur at Songan Village, Kintamani.

Dewi Danu is the water goddess of the Balinese Hindus. She is one of two supreme deities in the Balinese tradition.

Bhitargaon

Bhitargaon is a town in Kanpur district, Uttar Pradesh, India, known for its ancient Hindu temple, the largest Indian brick temple to survive from the time of the Gupta Empire. Despite being heavily restored, a number of original features remain. It is dated to the late 5th century.

The Bhitargaon Temple is a terraced brick building fronted with a terracotta panel. Built in the 5th century during the Gupta period, it is the oldest remaining brick/terracotta Hindu shrine with a roof and a high shikhara, though its upper chamber did sustain some damage in the 18th century.

The temple is built on a square plan with double-recessed corners and faces east. There is a tall pyramidal spire over the garbhagriha. The walls are decorated with terracotta panels depicting aquatic monsters, Shiva and Vishnu etc. When Alexander Cunningham first visited the site, the remains of the porch and of the ardhamandapa were still visible, which later collapsed.

Mother Makarvahini (Narmada) Temple,
Kamaniya gate
Jabalpur,Madhya Pradesh

The world's oldest, beautiful and only statue of Punyasalila Maa Narmada is in the temple located in Makarwahini Jabalpur. Cultural carpet shows the craftsmanship of Mother Narmada's landing in this statue. Actually, but in Sanskrit, it is called Capricorn, which is the vehicle of Mother Narmada. That's why it was named Makarwahini. Mother Narmada's appearance is the main subject of this statue. So various gods and goddesses marked in the statue are portrayed as witnesses at the time of descending.

Markandeya hills is located near Vokkaleri, 65 km east of Bengaluru, Karnataka.

The Shiva temple on top of the hill is built thousands of years ago and renovated in 15th century CE. It’s motorable to the top.

Rishi Markandeya is said to have meditated here.

Weilding the old-world charm, Markandeya hill is surrounded by forests and farmlands. A serene, calm place!

The Nandi - Monolithic Bull.

Locally known as Yeduru Basavanna or Nandi, this monolithic bull marks the east end of the Virupaksha Bazaar. The statue is housed in a twin storied pavilion built on an elevated platform. A heap of gigantic boulders behind the pavilion offers an interesting backdrop.
