Tashkent State University of Economics, known as 'Narhoz' to general public was a parent University of one of my Alma Maters. My school later became an independent, stand alone Institution (Andijan Institute of Engineering and Economics), also known as 'Narhoz', which later restructured to represent only Engineering faculties. About that some other time.
But every time I walk through this hallway, I make a wish to see a female face in this row of portraits very soon.
Study of and the work in Economic and Financial sectors are still not popular among women. As a student I would witness a stark contrast every single day being one of 7-8 female students in the group of 30. Hence this row of portraits )
