2021-11-10 05:48:14 UPDATES! Team we are receiving countless emails and messages from teachers who say their schools are struggling with getting teaching staff.

It seems to be a massive problem across NSW & VIC. We are also hearing that schools have started granting sick leave and other forms of leave again. We wonder why

There will be no NSW and VIC zoom meetings tonight. Other states will host their own and links will be posted on those respective states channels.

Finally, here is a good news story of a brave kid standing up for his teacher unlike the gutless unions and politicians.

2021-11-09 22:53:02 IMPORTANT UPDATE! Good morning Team. As of last night all Notices of Concern and Advices by our Barrister Raymond Broomhall and AFL Solicitors have been delivered in NSW & VIC.

Pm ScoMo, State Premiers, CHO's, Health & Education Ministers, Attorney Generals, School Principals, and Department Secretaries have now been put on notice that the NEU has arrived and we won't be taking this lying down.

Everyone is asking what now? Does this mean we get our job back? We don't know. We have to give them time to respond BUT at least they know we are here and we won't be going away.

You need to continue standing up for yourselves, file complaints with every government body and stay in this fight for as long as you can. They will buckle!

The letters will be posted on our website today. An important task is coming up later this morning so please stay tuned.

2021-11-08 22:58:18 Good morning Team. We have been receiving hundreds of messages from people who have had their medical exemptions rejected. You may recall we never explored this as an option and never gave advice on it as it was a personal choice.

We didn't feel strongly about it as we still had to fight the mandates and anything else they were throwing at us. We now see that they have no regard for exemptions which has left many of you upset.

Apparently employers are rejecting sick leave with medical certificates as well. This is actually not legal so you'll need to fight them on this.

If any of the above applies to you then you should respond with an email along the lines of;

1. On what medical grounds is my exemption/sick leave being denied?

2. Can you please provide me with the details of the medical authority and/or physician who is making these decisions on behalf of my health?

3. Can you please provide me with the legal source of your decisions concerning my medical status?

We cannot attend to everyone's individual situation so this is the best advice we can provide. You need to fight them for your rights. You have nothing to lose now.

Reply to your employer or whoever rejected your exemption/sick leave. Make sure you CC your HR department. If you are a member of Red Union you may also want to submit a report with them via your dashboard to add to the evidence.
