Teachers from VIC & NSW are receiving emails from the Department of Education stating they won't be paid holiday pay or entitlements because they have not uploaded their vax status.

Please do not panic! You are entitled to these and they are using blackmail.

If you're a member of Red Union we have made them aware of the situation and their legal department is onto it. We'd also recommend you logging a report on your dashboard.

If you're not a member of a union then you must write to your employer and follow the procedures in the previous post. Phone HR as well but do not let up. What they are doing is illegal and borders on extortion!

You will get your holiday pay!

1. On what medical grounds am I being denied?

2. Under who's medical authority am I being denied?

3. Supply me with the identity and qualifications of the persons making these decisions on my behalf and interfering with the privacy of my doctor/patient relationship.

If you are not being paid annual leave or holiday and you are entitled to it then you also need to write to your employer and cc HR and ask;

1. On what legal grounds am I being refused my holiday entitlements?

2. Under who's legal authority has this been authorised?

3. Can you please provide me evidence of where it states in my contract that I am not entitled to holiday pay?

Start writing & phoning but whatever you do DON'T lay down and take this!

All teachers in the Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta, please make sure you fill out the Show Cause form on your Dashboard to create a deal but there is also a Show Cause Letter available on the Dashboard, requesting an Extension it would be good if you can fill this out requesting a 7 day extension.

While there are many tasks and strategies we can take we feel it's also important to provide support to people who are struggling which is where our focus has been.

We are writing letters, attending protests, following court cases, and generally pushing back with everything we've got while also supporting our members.

We and you have tried our guts out the last 4 months and will continue to do so. The fight is not over but sometimes it looks different to what you expect.
