Another Beeple NFT-creation sold for $29 million.
Digital artist
Mike Winkelmann, better known as
Beeple, plans to "
improve displayed works of art".
As you may recall, it was he who sold the painting "
Everydays: The First 5000 Days" for a record
$69.3 million.
His latest work is a life-size three-dimensional sculpture and
NFT.
Christie's auction describes it as a
"kinetic video sculpture" -
four video screens, polished aluminum, a mahogany frame, two media servers and infinite video with matching dynamic NFT.
The author himself speaks of it as "
the first portrait of a human born in the metaverse".
What is also interesting is that he intends to
change this work
over time.
As Christie's notes, Beeple will
maintain remote access to the physical element to ensure proper functionality.
Likewise, the changes the author might bring to the work
depend on his mood and may reflect his thoughts.
Would you like a next-generation "sculpture" for yourself?
