We're happy to announce that the scheduled maintenance has been completed without issues, smoke testing passed and that we have been able to lift read only mode much earlier than the announced 48 hour timeframe!

As we have been preparing for a mass influx of traffic this sprint has been focused squarely on improving chain robustness and scalability. A core item receiving attention in the Datsun development sprint was improved P2P node communication and replication. Along with improvements to nodes' relaying of API calls and improved REST API endpoints, we are confident that Phantasma can handle the upcoming increased traffic!

The Datsun development sprint and associated testing has concluded, and we are ready to implement a multitude of upgrades.

A main component of this sprint is scalability and robustness upgrades to harden Phantasma to handle the load caused by a hypothetical massive influx of new users,

Today, Wednesday April 14th at 1200 UTC (noon) a maintenance / upgrade session will commence. This period is expected to last for less than 48 hours.

During this time all pending upgrades will be deployed, and post deployment verification testing will be carried out. While in maintenance the chain will be in read only mode, and SOULdiers should hold off on attempting to execute transactions until the all clear is given.
