On January 27th at 2:30 pm, the Portugese tech university Escola Superior de Tecnologia near the city of Porto will be hosting a session dedicated to blockchain technologies and their potential use in the world of video games.

The presenter is our very own core SOULdier João Novo, Full-Stack developer at Phantasma and Master in Engineering in Digital Game Development student.

Representing Phantasma at the event, João will provide insights into Blockchain-based technologies (NFTs, cryptocurrencies, tokens and Smart Contracts), its impact on the gaming world and the opportunities it can bring to this industry. Phantasma, developed with a strong focus on gaming use cases and pioneering the world of Smart NFTs, is a natural fit for the emerging paradigm shift in game development.

As most SOULdiers know, the Kucoin exchange has been conducting wallet maintenance since January 15th, and the Phantasma team has maintained communications with them throughout this period.

We are happy to let you know that Kucoin has informed us that their nodes are getting close to being fully synchronized (a notoriously slow process at times), and they expect to complete their maintenance session within the next few days

We are pleased to announce that Phantasma will be collaborating with Magnum Opus Pictures on the first ever movie to launch charitable NFTs: Beyond the Neon.

Magnum Opus Pictures, founded in 2019, is a new digital media & film production company with a focus on socially impactful content. Leveraging early exposure to blockchain technology, the Los Angeles-based organization investigates, develops and funds new projects worldwide. Magnum Opus Pictures creates “content with a cause” for an increasingly decentralized world.

In parallel with the release of the film, Phantasma and Magnum Opus Pictures are creating Smart NFT collections related to the subject matter of the movie.
