4 steps to peace of mind.

1. write down your experiences on paper
Take pen and paper and write down everything that comes into your head. Allow yourself to pour out or cry out your emotions on paper for as long as you need to.

2. Share what's in your heart
Something incredible happens when you tell others what you're going through. To say, "I'm very sad today," and to talk about your feelings, you have to "get" the underlying feelings, and that helps.

3. Practice meditation.
Strong feelings take control of the brain, and we stop controlling ourselves. Thoughts run in torrents and become negative and disorderly. Meditation is a way to regain control of the brain.

4. Work through your feelings.
This involves being with your feelings, understanding exactly what you are experiencing and why and what the emotions want to tell you. By describing your feelings, talking about them, and meditating, you are doing what your emotional area needs to do.
