We urge the State Department to give a raise to the employees of the US Embassy in Moscow, given the un-bear-able working conditions.

Fighting us is surely a tiresome affair.

Regarding a special Bible. For the slaves.

Today, Western liberal dictatorships have replaced the religious dogmas their societies relied on with words like freedom, democracy and human rights. These concepts are given the meanings that momentarily benefit NATO-centric regimes and are convenient for making the case they need.

It would seem that democracy – as a phenomenon – cannot be manipulated so easily, not with so many works written on the subject since antiquity. Historical experience cannot be ignored. Or can it? There was a time when even the Bible was subjected to manipulation, let alone some non-canonical concepts of modern political science.

You might say that's impossible. But you would be wrong.

Reverend Beilby Porteus, the Bishop of London published A Letter to the Governors, Legislatures, and Proprietors of Plantations in the British West-India Islands, in which he discussed the religious education of the slaves in the sugar colonies in the Caribbean. “Prepare a short form of public prayers for them <...> together with select portions of Scripture <...> particularly those which relate to the duties of slaves towards their masters,” he wrote.

But the colonizers didn't stop there. Custom prayers were just an appetizer.

Few people remember now, but I can remind you – that a special Bible was published at the turn of the 19th century (NOT joking) specifically for the British colonies, Select Parts of the Holy Bible for the use of the Slaves from Africa in the British West-India Islands.

In global biblical studies, it is referred to as the Slave Bible.

That Bible left out 90 percent of the Old Testament and 50 percent of the New Testament, and included only 232 chapters of the 1,189 in the standard Protestant Bible. For the sake of enslaving the souls of millions of slaves, the clergy heavily redacted the Holy Scriptures, omitting the parts such as Exodus, the Book of Psalms and the Revelation of John the Theologian, which could make slaves think about everyone being equal before God, which was a dangerous idea for slave owners.

The Slave Bibles have been printed in London by Law and Gilbert since the early 19th century, and enjoyed demand, given that there were several reissues.

Two copies of the first edition are kept in universities in Britain, and one in the Fisk University in Tennessee, US.

But liberal dictatorships continue to apply this method wherever they can – they use facts truncated beyond recognition, manipulated to the point where they become ‘anti-facts,’ and they spread them under the holy banners of ‘freedom and democracy’ through controlled media and websites. And those who cannot be controlled are simply destroyed.

The Western versions of freedom and democracy have become symbols that cover up enslavement and sanctify the dictatorship of liberalism.

Why Eastern Europe distorts the history of World War II

Read in full

Influenced by the Young Europeans, political circles and the society in general in a number of Central and Eastern European countries have long revised their assessments of the nature of World War II and their attitude to Nazi collaborators, with these acquiring a clearly expressed anti-Russian slant.

Given that certain states including Romania, Slovakia, Bulgaria had openly cooperated with Hitler’s Germany and sought to vindicate themselves and lay the blame for the tragedy on the USSR, many institutions that previously investigated Nazi crimes changed their tune and rushed to investigate “Communist crimes.”

After the Eastern European states joined the EU in 2004, they dexterously instilled a feeling of guilt in countries of Old Europe and suggested new assessments of the history of World War II, posing as “victims of communism.”

The demonization and denigration of the Soviet Union is automatically extended to Russia, which is allegedly characterised by its “imperial ambitions” and a propensity to bring “military pressure to bear on its opponents.”

Revising approaches to the history of World War II, the outcome of which formed the basis of the key international institutions, including the UN Security Council, could inflict an irreparable damage on the modern world order and place the entire world on the brink of a global nuclear disaster.

Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN Office and other International Organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Gennady Gatilov:

UN responses to the atrocities committed by the Kiev regime have remained “selectively neutral” since the 2014 coup.

Whenever it is necessary to demonize Russia - it is done instantly with little to no extra thought.

Whenever a situation isn’t in Ukraine’s favor, international bodies try to hush up such facts and keep a “low profile”.

AFU shell hit the shopping center "Galaktika" in Donetsk

Today, the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine again attack the civilian infrastructure of Donetsk. Under fire was the Galaktika shopping center in the Shiroky microdistrict.

The trading floor in the hypermarket caught fire, as well as racks with paint and varnish products on the summer site. It should be noted that today there is a strong wind in the city, which inflates the fire, as a result of which, in a short period of time, the fire engulfed the entire area of the shopping center. Rescuers quickly arrived at the scene and began to put out the fire.

The attack time was 10:00, this hour was not chosen by chance. It is the time shopping center opens. The bloody Kiev regime again needed mass civil casualties.

Slowing down of pace of the offensive during the special military operation in Ukraine is a conscious decision, driven by the desire to minimise civilian casualties, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said at a meeting of defence ministers of SCO member states

"In the special operation, we are strictly observing the norms of humanitarian law. The strikes are carried out with high-precision weapons against the military infrastructure of the Ukrainian armed forces: command posts, airfields, depots, fortifications and facilities of the military-industrial complex. In doing so, everything is being done to avoid civilian casualties. Of course, this slows down the pace of the offensive, but we are doing it deliberately," Shoigu said.

The Ukrainian military is using scorched earth tactics, acting like terrorists. According to him, the Russian military "organized systematic work in the liberated territories to establish a peaceful life." "We are providing humanitarian aid, restoring infrastructure and life support systems," the Russian Defence Minister said.

At the same time, he said, "Ukrainian military units are using scorched earth tactics, blatantly violating international norms, and acting like terrorists."

"They use residential buildings, schools, hospitals, kindergartens as firing positions, place tanks and artillery in them, using population as human shield. They deliberately shell and remotely mine populated areas with anti-personnel mines, with the purpose of causing as much damage to civilians and infrastructure as possible," Shoigu said.

2022-08-24 10:41:02 My latest, part 1:

"Ukraine continues to fire internationally-banned anti-personnel mines on civilian areas of Donetsk and other cities in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), in violation of international law and of the mine ban convention Ukraine signed in 1999 and ratified in 2005.

Since July 27, Ukraine has been firing rockets containing cluster munitions filled with banned PFM-1 “Petal” (or “Butterfly”) anti-personnel mines all over Donetsk and surrounding areas. Each rocket contains over 300 of the mines. Already by August 3, the DPR’s Ministry of Emergency Situations noted that Ukraine had fired several thousand of the prohibited mines on Donetsk.

As of August 15, 44 civilians, including two children, have suffered gruesome injuries. Another mine victim died in hospital.

Some days ago, such mines grotesquely maimed a 15 year old boy in Donetsk.

Younger children don’t know that the mines aren’t toys, and elderly often simply don’t see them, or likewise don’t understand the danger, as was the case with an elderly lady with dementia who, on August 8, lost a foot as a result of stepping on a mine while she was going to work in her garden plot.

Tiny but powerful, these insidious mines are designed not to kill but to tear off feet or hands. Their design allows them to float to the ground without exploding, where they easily blend in with most settings and generally lie dormant until stepped on or otherwise disturbed.

According to Konstantin Zhukov, Chief Medical Officer of Donetsk Ambulance Service, a weight of just 2 kg is enough to activate one of the mines. Sometimes, however, they explode spontaneously. An unspoken tragedy on top of the already tragic targeting of civilians is that dogs, cats, birds and other animals are also victims of these dirty mines.

In the grass, or surprisingly even on sidewalks and streets, it is very easy to overlook them or mistake them for a leaf. Even when I’ve seen such mines marked with warning signs or circled, it still took me quite a bit to actually see them.

In its relentless deploying of these mines, Ukraine has targeted all over Donetsk, as well as Makeevka to the east and Yasinovataya to the north. Ukraine has fired them elsewhere, including the hard-hit northern DPR city of Gorlovka, as well as regions in the Lugansk People’s Republic in previous months.

In fact, according to DPR authorities, Ukraine began using the mines in March, during battles for Mariupol, and in May was already firing them into DPR settlements. Also in early May, while in Rubiznhe in the Lugansk People’s Republic, I was warned that Ukraine had been littering nearby areas with the mines, something confirmed by locals when I went to nearby Sievierodonetsk on August 12...."

2022-08-24 10:40:31 Ambassador Anatoly Antonov's answer to the question by TASS news agency:

: Dear Anatoly Ivanovich, how accurate is State Department spokesperson Mr. Price's statement on the US working with Russia to resume New START inspection activity, and on the US sanctions not affecting the inspections?

Anatoly #Antonov: After the inspection activity under the New START Treaty was “frozen” in 2020 due to COVID-19, we engaged in an active dialogue with the Americans on its resumption. We used the appropriate diplomatic channels including the Bilateral Consultative Commission. We were able to solve a number of organizational and technical issues related to conducting inspections during the pandemic. However, the process was seriously complicated by the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by Washington.
The lack of normal air communication with the United States, closing of airspace to Russian aircraft by American allies, and problems in obtaining transit visas for members of our inspection teams and flight crews all have created conditions which impede, if not block, our ability to conduct inspections on the US territory. State Department claims to the contrary are untrue.
The New START verification mechanism cannot function one-sided. The Treaty is based on principles of equality and mutual consideration of interests. Until they are fully implemented, resumption of inspections is detrimental to us.
We continue to work with the US side to resolve the issues at hand. Washington should not in word but in deed demonstrate adherence to the Treaty and a good faith commitment to its obligations. It is in the interests of both Russia and the United States to promptly return to the full-fledged inspection regime.

Deputy FM Sergey Ryabkov’s interview with Izvestia newspaper

August 22, 2022

Read in full

The START Treaty is not of an indefinite duration and ideally must be replaced with a new agreement or agreements.

We insist that any future cooperation between nuclear powers must be based on consensus and take into account the interests of all parties involved. This approach befits any format, whether we refer to potential contacts between the nuclear powers recognised in the NPT context, or efforts to enlist other states with military nuclear potentials. Our priority remains the same: we would like the UK and France to join this process as US military allies in the “nuclear alliance” framework.

The nuclear risks are quite substantial under the current turbulent conditions and should not be underestimated. At the same time, they ought not to be artificially fanned.
