Yesterday, on the one year anniversary of the murder of Walter Wallace Jr., Philadelphia Police shot and killed a man, Koffi Dzima, on the 5700 block of Overbrook Ave, right behind St. Joseph's University. The police were called in response to a landlord-tenant dispute. One officer was hit by friendly fire in the exchange.

Sunday Oct 10th- 10am join with the indigenous community of Philadelphia walking from City Hall to 2nd and Market to honor our ancestors.

12-4pm-Dancing, fellowship and vendors at Bartram's Garden

Monday Oct 11th- Dancing and exhibition at Penn Treaty Park from 12-4

Sundown - Check out the purple and white lights as the city lights up in honor of Indigenous peoples day! The colors represent the wampum used to signify the original treaties made between natives and colonizers.
