Figures from the Labour Market Report Q3 2022 released today show that our labour market has continued to improve, albeit with signs of easing momentum. Key observations include:
 
Total employment growth continued to increase from the previous quarter
Unemployment rates held steady at pre-pandemic levels
  Number of retrenchments increased from the previous quarter but remained a step-down from pre-pandemic levels
Job vacancies declined but remained high
