US markets closed at fresh new all-time highs as cyclical extend rally on huge infrastructure bill being passed by Senate. Bond yields close higher at 1.49% even as the US$ index sees some profit booking to close at 94.06. Oil prices also see profit booking closing near US$82 for WTI crude.
Asian markets opened in the green with the Japanese 'Nikkei' trading higher marginally as US cues see cyclical rally while energy stocks see profit booking. Tech stocks have seen re-rating after the recent results and hence the Taiwan market has been an outperformer. Chinese stocks will react to data on exports as the slowdown in manufacturing could see slower growth.
The Nifty saw a smart rally after being range bound for the last week as local funds bought aggressively to neutralize the selling by foreign investors. PSU banks, metals and IT lead the gainers while Bank Nifty saw profit booking with IndusInd Bank leading the selling. Mid caps also came back into action with the Mid Cap 50 index gainin
