2021-11-30 19:17:42 RBI Grade B 2022: Changing nature of Reports & Indices related questions— IBPS is in Killer Mood

Hi all,

In the last post, I had briefly talked about the changing trend of Reports and Indices related questions. This post is an extension of the same.

Do you know that the Report related questions asked in NABARD Grade A (Mains)2021 were not covered by any coaching ( including Shared Learning's report compilation)?

Similarly, one report-related paragraph asked in RBI Grade B 2021 was also not covered by any coaching.

But it's not the mistake of coachings. When it comes to govt. schemes and reports, IBPS goes crazy. It can ask anything.

If you analyse the RBI Grade B 2021 and NABARD Grade A 2021, the report related questions were insane. They were not like earlier.

In the attached PDF, I have discussed three changes made by IBPS and how Shared Learning's magazine will tackle them. Even if you are following any other current affairs magazine, you should be aware of these changes.

2021-11-28 18:06:48 RBI Grade B 2022: 1st edition of Monthly magazine for Reports and Indices (October)

Hi all,

As discussed earlier, Shared Learning's Current affairs module for RBI Grade B consists of 3 layers:

(1) PRS Weekly ( for PIB/RBI/SEBI Press Releases)
(2) Monthly magazine for Reports and Indices
(3) Bi-monthly magazine for other one-liner current affairs

Till now, only the first layer of the module has been released. This is the first edition of Layer-2. It covers the Reports and Indices released in the month of October.

Reason for not releasing it on 25th November:

The magazine was supposed to be released on 25th November. But it was deliberately withheld for three days. A significant part of the magazine was redesigned in the last three days to align it with the changing mood of IBPS, which is getting pretty clear after NABARD Grade A(mains) held on 16th November.

Reports & indices related questions asked in RBI Grade B 2021 were not like earlier. At first, it looked like an aberration. But after 16th November, it seems to be the new mood of IBPS.

Tomorrow, I will write a detailed post regarding this shift and the changes that have been made in the magazine. Please read tomorrow's post carefully. It's crucial to strategize for this section properly.

2021-11-25 08:16:32 RBI Grade B 2022: Beginner-friendly way to start descriptive writing practice and a 15-Days Challenge to build the habit

Hi everyone,

All of you know that 200 out of 300 marks in the RBI Grade B Phase 2 are descriptive-based. Many of you may also have heard about the importance of answer-writing practice. But still, most of you have not started anything for it.

The biggest reason that you didn't start answer writing:

It's because you think that you have not read much yet. How can you write when you have not read, right?

The above reason is a sweet lie, and you need to face the truth:

In the following article, I have shared some experiences from the UPSC coaching space. They also give the same excuse for not writing answers. And they suffer a lot due to this. Please read it with complete honesty, and you will realise that I am sharing your story.

A beginner-friendly technique to start descriptive practice:

There are so many rules/tips/techniques to write a good answer that the idea of daily answer-writing practice makes students anxious. And also you are lazy:) So, the result is you do not write anything.

In the following article, I have explained a beginner-friendly technique to start descriptive writing practice. You won't directly write answers, but you will write something very important. You just need 30-35 minutes to perform this daily exercise. Please read the following article to know the details.

15-Day challenge to build your habit:

To kick-start your journey and help you gain discipline, I am starting a 15-Day challenge. In the following article, I have suggested a daily 30-minutes exercise to start descriptive writing practice. 15-day challenge will help you in forming this daily habit. If you resonate with the technique shared in the article, then join the 15-days challenge. Habits — whether positive or negative — are easier to form in a group.

A new channel for the 15-Day challenge:

I have created a new channel where this 15-challenge will take place. The channel Id is
@RBIGradeB_Descriptive

It will start from 26th November.

Please join the channel only if you are committing to follow this 30-minutes routine for 15 days
. Go through the below article, understand the problem and solution carefully. I have explained each and every point along with the logic.

If you are following Shared Learning's journey, then you know that I have a habit of writing long articles. The following article also needs your patience. The reason behind writing such long articles is that I never want you to trust any teacher's words, including me. Listen to their logic. I write long articles to convey the detailed logic. Understanding the logic builds trust in the process. Follow the technique, only if you agree with the logic.

I am again requesting, please don't join the new channel for time-pass.
The number of subscribers on the channel will be my way to identify the students who are following the process with discipline. It doesn't matter, even if it's just a handful of students.

2021-11-21 15:56:35 Sorting out the timeliness of Shared Learning's Current affairs magazine, including PRS Weekly:

Hi everyone,

Shared Learning started its current affairs module for RBI grade B on 20th October. There are three layers of it (1) PRS weekly for PIB/RBI/SEBI press release (2) Monthly magazine for reports and indices and (3) Bi-monthly magazine for one-liner current affairs.

Till now, 3 PRS Weekly magazines for the first three weeks of October have been released. If you have read the PRS Weekly, you may have understood the difference in the quality. However, one thing might be troubling many of you — Delay in the magazines.

This post details the timeline within which all delays will be sorted.

The problem

There is a delay in the Magazine because we started late. The first weekly Magazine was released on 20th October. So, some initial problems in synchronising the timing were inevitable.

The solution: Timeline to bring it back on track:

Till now, the release time of the current affairs magazines has been a bit erratic. To rectify this, I have shared the timeline within which all the delays will be sorted. Please read the below post (PDF) for the timeline.

It also includes the regular schedule for all 3-layers of CA magazines after the initial delay has been sorted. Please go through the attached PDF; it will help you in efficiently planning the current affairs preparation.

2021-11-18 19:44:59 NABARD Grade A (Mains) 2021: Objective section: Detailed analysis + Settling the debatable questions.

Hi everyone,

Customary remark on NABARD Grade (Mains) 2021: English and Paper 2 descriptive.

There is almost a uniform consensus regarding the difficulty level of NABARD Grade (Mains) 2021 English and Paper 2 descriptive. Other than the cross-breeding question, the paper was easy to moderate. The descriptive questions were comparatively straightforward than RBI Grade B 2021. The questions were also on the expected line.

The analysis of NABARD Grade A (Mains): Objective section:

On the first look, the question paper appears easy. But it's not that simple. There are some debatable questions as well as bouncers.

This document contains a detailed analysis of the questions. Special emphasis is on settling the debatable questions and comprehensive analysis of the difficulty level ( and thereby predicting a good score)

2021-11-15 16:29:56 NABARD Grade A (Mains): Best wishes and last words before the exam:

Hello friends,

As a teacher, it's so easy for me to tell you to be calm and composed. But you will be flooded with thoughts.

I know it's tough, but you need to calm down your mind now. Tomorrow is not about your preparation level in the absolute sense. What matters is how much juice you can extract from your preparation — And your mental composure will decide this.

We are talking for the last time before your exam. Before conveying my best wishes, I want to share some helpful mental perspectives and a few tangible pieces of advice for tomorrow.

Mental perspectives:

(1) Within all of us, there are two voices. One of them says that we can rock anything in this world. The other keeps doubting ourselves at every moment. Tomorrow is the day to find your first voice — Listen to it — It knows that you are too powerful to fear an exam.

(2) Don't treat the exam as a battlefield and make it a do-or-die situation — It will increase your anxiety and fear. Instead, treat the exam as a playground and play passionately.

(3) Make a promise that you won't think about the family's expectation pressure. Expectations are good only till the time they motivate us. Don't let them burden you.

(4) Make a promise that you won't think of your past failures. You know that the past is the biggest enemy of your future.

Tangible advices:

(1) If you are an "adventurous" student, who stays awake the whole night before the exam, please rethink. It's not an objective exam; you need to write for 3 hours — You need energy. For your own sake, please have a good sleep.

(2) If possible, please carry a home-cooked light meal for the break. If it's not possible, then take some fruits with you. You will start your day at around 7:00 am. But you have to write your Paper 2 descriptive exam after 6 hours. If you don't take care of your diet, you might feel sleepy and exhausted by that time.

(3) Please avoid chit-chat in the exam centre. It will unnecessarily disturb your mental peace. Stay focused; exam-centre is not a place to start life-long friendships.

(4) If you are feeling too much pressure, please trust my words and try a short meditation before sleep ( and before leaving for the exam). Yesterday, I told you about a beautiful app, "Headspace", you can try it if you have never tried meditation.

It's time to say the last words:

Okay, friends, that's enough for the last day. You have already read such a long post; I won't check more of your patience. So, it's finally time to say that — Best of luck :)

Go with full force. The exam is your playground; play passionately. And when you come back home, feel free to share your experience.

Stay strong, friends. And if you are feeling anxiety/pressure, do a few minutes of meditation before sleeping.
