2021-06-09 06:17:56 The UN War Crimes Tribunal upheld the conviction Tuesday of Bosnian Serb military leader Ratko Mladic, 78, known as the "Butcher of Bosnia," for his role in the genocide in Srebrenica, the siege of Sarajevo, and other war crimes.

The verdict is final and cannot be appealed any further. Mladic was convicted in 2017 and sentenced to life in prison for his role as Bosnian Serb military commander during the war in Bosnia, which lasted from 1992 until 1995.

It is the responsibility of a company with a dominant market position to avoid undermining its competition. 

Google, based in Mountain View, California, did not dispute the facts and opted to settle after proposing some changes, according to a prepared statement from the Competition Authority.

The collision took place early on Monday morning near the town of Dharki, about 440km (273 miles) north of Pakistan’s largest city of Karachi, officials say.

The 39-year-old American, still one short of Margaret Court’s all-time record of most Grand Slam singles titles, has not gone beyond the fourth round at Roland Garros since losing the 2016 final.

Russian-born Rybakina, 21, extended her best run at a major as she advanced to her first quarter-final, where she will face Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova for a spot in the last four.

2021-06-07 07:30:08 In audio obtained by news agencies, the Islamic State West Africa Province (Iswap) said Shekau died detonating explosives on himself after a battle between the two groups.
Shekau was reported dead last month and has been reported killed before.  Neither Boko Haram nor the Nigerian government have confirmed his death.

When reports of Shekau's death in a clash circulated last month, the Nigerian army said it would investigate. He has been reported dead numerous times before, only to resurface.

Its findings could shed light onto the origins of the 70-year-old former Merrill Lynch banker's wealth. In post since 1993 and once hailed by political and business leaders, Salameh has been repeatedly accused by the government of caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab of being responsible for the collapse of the Lebanese pound.

2021-06-06 15:10:41 A prominent Nigerian televangelist has died hours after presiding over a program at his Lagos-based megachurch on Saturday. Prophet T.B. Joshua, the founder of The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), passed away one week before his 58th birthday, his church said in a statement Sunday.
Joshua's cause of death was not stated. Since his rise to prominence in the late 1990s, the popular preacher was renowned for his philanthropy, prosperity teachings, and purported healings and miracles.
