2. Binge-eating disorder
( Trigger Warning, same as the ones in the previous post)

This disorder is on the other end of the spectrum. It is mainly characterized by eating excessively. This is further worsened when the person consumes foods considered unhealthy. In most cases, the person affected suffers from overweightness and obesity. Diabetes, heart diseases, liver diseases, hypertension are also possible outcomes. The person affected could be well aware of these, but still feels the need to eat more and more especially when stressed. At the same time, they could develop self-esteem issues as their ovesity is a result of an urge they can't control, not a choice. Emotional factors include depression, self-harm, insecuritues and low self-esteem, etc. This disorder is just as difficult as anorexia because (1) too much food is harmful to health and (2) the stress from being obese or overweight causes more urges to eat. I know it sounds controversial but a lot of people out there including myself find comfort in food, it's like the thunder inside eases up a bit. When this habit reaches extreme levels, it upgrades into serious disorders. Think about it.

*Symptoms- Eating more than usual, constantly eating when upset or stressed, excessive weight gain, depression, self-harm, feelings of worthlessness and self-blaming, body dysmporphia, etc.
