The prototype of a new eVTOL hypercar flies at 217 km/h at an altitude of 900 m

The British company Bellwether Industries has built and launched a prototype of the Volar type eVTOL flying hypercar on a semi-scale. Recall that vehicles of this type use electricity for vertical hovering, takeoff and landing.

In the future, the Volar flying car will be able to reach speeds of more than 321 km/h. When Bellwether Industries engineers build a full-scale prototype, it will be a four-seat flying car about 3.2 meters wide. The flying car will fly at a speed of 217 km/h at an altitude of 900 m. Flight time on a single battery charge is expected to be up to 90 minutes, and the maximum load is 600 kg.

Cerambot is an inexpensive ceramic 3D printer.

There are many 3D printers out there, but most of them use plastic or resin printing.

A team of enthusiasts has created a CERAMBOT 3D printer that uses real clay to print objects.

It is fast, accurate, easy to use, and the most affordable printer of its kind. The mechanical accuracy of this machine is up to 0.1 mm.

Biological microbots for drug delivery through the body

An international team of scientists published a paper in a journal devoted to the development of nanorobots capable of delivering drugs to individual body tissues.

Organic bots were printed on a 3D printer and incubated in a solution of iron oxide to enable magnetization. The scientists showed how to use magnets to control the robot, moving it through the veins and giving it a signal to release the medicine from the reservoir.

SpinLaunch - into space with kinetic energy

The startup SpinLaunch is actively working on a project to launch rockets without the use of fossil fuel engines.

The company's specialists propose to use kinetic energy by accelerating rockets to supersonic speeds.

Thus, the L100 installation developed by them will give the rocket a launch speed of 8047 kilometers per hour, which will make it possible to take satellites weighing up to 200 kilograms to a suborbital altitude.

A robotic snake rode a vertical tube

Japanese engineers developed a robotic snake with magnets in its wheels.

One of the purposes for which the engineers created the robot is to replace humans when working in hazardous environments.

"The robotic snake can ride on vertical structures without expending energy. The robot consists of eight sections that can rotate relative to each other.

The first and last sections are passive, while the six central ones have wheels with neodymium magnets on their surfaces. This allows the robot to stay on metal surfaces.

A 305-meter tulip may become a new landmark of the British capital

Soon a 305-meter-tall building may appear in the British capital and become a new cultural and tourist center of the city.

The Tulip building was designed by the architects J.Safra Group and Foster + Partners. A proposal for The Tulip was submitted in November 2018, and construction is currently unfinished.

The Tulip is typically an educational and entertainment complex; we won't find a residential part here. There will be a garden on the roof of the tower, which can be visited at any time of the day.
