They resent the Christian ethos because it's the only thing on Earth that stands against them. They want to keep you from knowing God and discovering your true path, because a society built upon a Christian ethos is one that honors marriage and raising a family, with some degree of selflessness. It's also why they are pushing transgenderism so hard on children and attacking what it means to be a woman.
