M1 - 1. So you're an Economics Graduate, where are you currently working and why not take up a job before MBA? What do you mean by current account deficit? Is it always bad?

2. What is a Merger? How is it different from an Acquisition? Mergers in the last 5 years? What is termed as a huge Merger? What parameters are taken into consideration?

3. What is GAAR? (Couldn't answer)

4. What is Sociology? Some theories?

5. Opinion on same sex marriage? Also, opinion on Polygamy and Muslim Law (Discussed it for 5 minutes odd)

6. Why Liberal Studies? Why not a dedicated course in HR?

F1 - 1. Difference between Economics and Commerce?

2. Link Economics to Management

3. 3 Female Economist

4. Governor of Punjab and his role

5. One change you want to bring about in the system?

6. Why is Patiala called the Royal City?

7. Discussion on Farm Laws

All in all, it was an enriching experience. The panelists were patient and didn't cut in. Lasted for around 25 minutes.

Male panelist grilled me a little bit. I took Biology in High school, so the female one asked me questions about that, i wasn't expecting them.

They seemed short on time and interrupted extempore and most responses when they seemed satisfied with what was said. I could put forward most but not all of my points.

Q. Intro

(I said no I can only drive a car. He laughed :P)

Q. What are 3 difference between fuel based and EV cars?

Q. What is a 4-stroke engine? What are different types of engines? What is a stroke? What are the differences?
(Because I mentioned 4-stroke engine in previous answer)

Q. Why are there grooves on tires?

Q. Why MBA?

Q. What is social impact consulting?
(Because I mentioned it in SoP and Why MBA)

Q. Why does a tank not have tires?

Q. Okay that'll be all.

F- Tell me something about yourself which is not in your CV, family background etc.

F- Asked about my Work Ex

F- You seem like a good architect, why LSM?

F- Are you originally from Delhi?

F- Do you know anything about Psychology of Love? (I said I didn’t know)

F- How do you think Post Modernist ideologies are affecting a country like India?

F- Do you think there should be a body dictating what you should wear, eat etc? (I had said one should have freedom to choose what they wish to do)

F- So then what about uniforms in school and formal dress code in Corporate sector?

F- Talked a bit more about uniforms

F- That’s it from me for now

M- Taking the restricting authorities further, what do you think the government should do on the use of hard drugs and drugs such as marijuana? (Spoke about marijuana legalisation in countries, etc)

M- Not just Marijuana, I’m more concerned about hard drugs. (He on his own have the answer to it)

M- Do you think prostitution should be legalised in the country?

M- What are you views on the IIM-A building which was to be demolished? Can only iconicity of Louis I Kahn be a factor to not demolish it?

M- What according to you is the reason for criticism that Chandigarh as a city received for its planning? Do you know who planned it?

M- Okay that’s it from my side.

F- Have you done a study about the reasons why prostitution is legalised in a country? (I said I had not done an in depth study)

F- Okay I’ll tell you so that next time your view might be different. (She explained the whole process and it was really sad to hear the whole story)
Me: I took a stand on removing the stigma Ma’am and not legalisation per say

M: That’s okay but as a policy maker you need to look from a broader view. (I agreed)

F&M- Thank you! It was really nice talking to you.

Overall it seemed like a very open discussion which could have happened between any two people. Don’t know what they will judge the interview on since it was mostly an opinionated one. But the experience was truly surreal and enriching.
