Themed Mind the Gap: Recalibrate for Equity and Impact, the conference will examine the gaps exposed and widened by the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges in bridging these gaps in our practices, and our mindsets through sessions on diversity, equity and inclusion; climate change; private sector engagement; local funding; education and workforce; technology and innovation.

How does it work?

Remote Student Exchange connects students from low- and middle-income countries to university-level courses around the world. Professors offer spots for actively participating in or silently auditing their courses. Students can apply for a spot on the classes that interest them. All classes are held remotely.

Applications from candidates in the fields of urban studies, geography, planning, architecture, sociology, political science and anthropology are welcome!

Each position is for 3 years, starting in November 2021. The gross annual amount of a PhD scholarship for 2021 is around €19,000 (which amounts to a net monthly rate of around €1400).
