Last year, 6 Turkish citizens filed such petitions: three received refugee status, the rest of the appeals were rejected or suspended. Of the three Azerbaijani citizens who applied for asylum in Armenia, two were refused, one application was suspended.

A total of 260 people wanted to get asylum in Armenia, as the State Migration Service told the "Armenpress". Most of the applicants are from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Cuba and Russia.
