Study the usage of "NOT THAT" in the following statement:

Not that I am an expert in this area, but I can handle basic tasks.

"Not that" in this sentence conveys the same meaning as "I do not want to say that".

You are more than welcome to share more sentences where "NOT THAT" is used in the same way.
For formal writing tasks, I prefer the phrase "I would not necessarily state that ..."
