The King is extremely disappointed over the govt's revocation of emergency ordinances (EOs) without his consent. He says this has misled Parliament, and undermined his role as head of state.

In response, the PMO said Putrajaya's revocation of all emergency ordinances was done according to the law, despite the Agong revealing today it was made without his consent.

Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim has asked PM Muhyiddin Yassin, Law Minister Takiyuddin Hassan, and the Speaker to resign following the abovementioned statement by the King. Anwar also filed a motion of no-confidence against the PM.

France will mandate COVID-19 passes to enter social venues, and for domestic travel, showing proof of vaccination, a negative test, or a recent recovery from the infection.

The Emergency Ordinance (EO) was supposedly revoked before Parliament convened. This was announced by Law Minister Takiyuddin Hassan in this week's Dewan Rakyat sitting, after an 8-month hiatus. But Opposition MPs and constitutional lawyers argue that the EO should be laid before Parliament first and be put to a vote, before presenting it to the King to be revoked.

MOSTI Minister Khairy Jamaluddin assured Parliament he will present all expenditure and agreements for vaccine procurement under the Nat'l Immunisation Programme, to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).

Opposition MPs filed motions to refer Takiyuddin Hassan to the Rights & Privileges Committee, saying he mislead Parliament over the revoked Emergency Ordinances.

Police questioned 12 doctors on duty for four hours at the Serdang MAEPS quarantine centre last night, over a strike on Monday. The questioning was confirmed by lawyer Asheeq Ali.

Health DG Dr Noor Hisham hopes a special task force under MOH and MMA will oversee amendments to the Pension Act within 2 years' time, to give permanent roles to contract doctors.
