25 Most Wanted Criminals In Canada 2023 | New RCMP List

https://immigrationnewscanada.ca/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Most-Wanted-In-Canada-2023.jpg Last Updated On 2 May 2023, 10:06 PM EDT (Toronto Time)
The Toronto police unveiled the list of the 25 most wanted criminals in Canada by raising life-sized cardboard cut-outs at Yonge-Dundas Square.

The list is part of the Bolo Program, which stands for “Be On the Lookout,” and aims to publicize police-wanted notices to help apprehend Canada’s most wanted fugitives.

This new list has now included Sidhu Moosewala murder prime accused Goldy Brar among the wanted gangsters in Canada. Learn aboutMost Wanted in CanadaThe widow of a man who was shot and killed while refereeing a soccer game last year is pleading with the man responsible for her husband’s death to turn himself in.

Alexandra Barrera, the widow of Edwin Farley Alvarado Quintero, made her appeal at a news conference held by BOLO in Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square on Monday.

Cristian Adolfo Cuxum, the 19-year-old man responsible for Edwin’s death, is at the top of BOLO’s list of the 25 most wanted criminals in Canada.

A reward of $250,000 has been made available for information leading to his capture. Cuxum’s alleged actions also left two soccer players with life-altering injuries. Most Dangerous Cities In Canada – Here Is The Full List!

At the news conference, Alexandra Barrera addressed Cuxum directly: “To the man who took [Edwin’s] life: You destroyed us. You destroyed our family. You destroyed our plans. Our dreams. Our sense of safety. Our everything. You cannot make that right. But if you turn yourself in, you will allow us to take our next step forward in this nightmare.”

Max Langlois, the director of the BOLO program, explained why Cuxum’s alleged offenses are at the top of the list: “It’s not an exact science, but Cuxum’s alleged actions had a widespread impact on the community, and the nature of the crime is particularly heinous.”

Chief Myron Demkiw of the Toronto Police Service urged anyone with information about the wanted individuals to come forward: “We don’t need evidence. We don’t need you in court. We just need to find them.” Cuxum is one of ten suspects wanted by police in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. New Minimum Wage In Quebec Effective Today | May 1

https://immigrationnewscanada.ca/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Minimum-Wage.jpeg Last Updated On 1 May 2023, 8:45 AM EDT (Toronto Time) New minimum wage in Quebec is now at $15.25, a raise of $1 from previous minimum wage of $14.25.

The hike from the existing $14.25 minimum wage is the province’s greatest percentage increase since 1995.

The minimum wage in Quebec for workers who get tips would also increase by 80% per hour, from $11.40 to $12.20 per hour.

Furthermore, the new minimum wage in Quebec for strawberry pickers will be $1.21 per kilogram and $4.53 per kilogram for raspberry pickers.

This hike will help about 300,000 employees, according to the Ministry of Labour.

However, some anti-poverty organizations says that despite increased living costs, the rise is still insufficient to cover basic necessities such as shelter and food.

According to Virginie Larivière, spokesperson for the Collective for a Poverty-Free Quebec, the raise is insufficient considering rampant inflation. Jump to“Too little, too late.” We’ve been asking for $15 an hour since 2016, but $15.25 in 2023 is definitely insufficient,” she added.

The social and labour organizations that started the “Minimum 15” campaign are now advocating for the minimum wage to be raised to $18 per hour.

“That’s the minimum. It’s a demand we’ve been making for two years. Obviously, with the inflation of the last few years, we can assume that $18 an hour is not enough to even think about being lifted out of poverty,” said Larivière.

New minimum wage in Quebec will be quite lower than the federal minimum wage of $16.65 which came in effect on April 1, 2023. New Minimum Wage In Canada and 5 Provinces Minimum Wage in Quebec and Rest Of CanadaWhat are tips ?A tip (also known as a gratuity) is a sum of money that a consumer voluntarily decides to provide in exchange for a service. The sum might be added to the bill as service costs.

Employers who collect the tip must remit it in full to the worker who delivered the service to the consumer. Who can be paid the minimum wage meant for tip-takers in Quebec? If a worker works full- or part-time in the following industries and regularly receives tips, he or she is regarded as a worker who receives tips and gratuities.

1. Restaurants except for fast-food businesses
2. A business that sells, distributes, or serves food for off-site consumption.
3. An establishment that serves alcohol or hosts an event where it is sold
4. A rail or ship with a store selling food or booze
5. A place that provides lodging for tourists, including campgrounds. What is wage disparity? An employer is not permitted to provide a worker a lower hourly rate based only on the fact that the worker is employed, such as because the worker typically works less hours per week, than it pays its workers who carry out the same responsibilities in the same place. What is the highest minimum wage in Canada?Yukon has the highest minimum wage at $16.77 per hour, followed by Federal minimum wage that is $16.65 per hour, and Nunavut which has the minimum wage of $16 per hour.
