For the first time since 2006, Israeli carried out airstrikes on targets inside Lebanon
This is quite a headline. According to reports by Hezbollah, the IDF carried out two attacks on targets in the a-Damashkia area in the suburbs of the village of Al-Mahmoudia in southern Lebanon at 00:40.
Preceding the attack was a public announcement of approval by the US (which is crucial for Israel to establish legitimacy and strengthen the message before it attacks). The US State Department issued a statement that Israel has the right to defend itself against the rocket fire from southern Lebanon.
In this case, The targets of the Israeli attack are not the main issue (according to its spokesperson, the IDF attacked terrorist infrastructure). What's important here, and this is also how the Lebanese side sees this, is that Israel is trying to change the "rules of the game".
Hezbollah is Officially silent. I will note that on Saturday at 20:30 the organization's secretary-general Nasrallah, is scheduled to deliver a speech on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of their "Divine Victory" in the Second Lebanon War.
