2022-04-14 12:39:48 IDF and Israeli security forces conducted counterterrorism activities in Judea and Samaria overnight and this morning: A total of 18 terror suspects were apprehended and weapons were confiscated

Following the recent rise in the threat of terrorism, the IDF, ISA and Israel Border Police conducted counterterrorism activities in a number of locations in Judea and Samaria, including the towns of Balata, Abu Dis and Beit Ummar, overnight and this morning (Thursday).

During operational activity in the Nur Shams Refugee Camp, security forces apprehended two suspects, located and confiscated two weapons, a military vest with IDF magazines and IDF uniforms.

During operational activity in the town of Kafr Dan this morning, dozens of Palestinians violently attacked the soldiers, shot at the forces, and hurled IEDs at them, endangering their safety. The soldiers responded with live ammunition.

Soldiers also operated in the town of Khirbat Sir and apprehended six terror suspects.

The suspects and weapons were transferred to the ISA for further processing.

2022-04-13 13:17:35 IDF: IDF and Israeli security forces conducted counterterrorism activities in Judea and Samaria overnight and this morning: one IDF soldier was lightly injured and a total of 15 terror suspects were apprehended, including three Hamas operatives in Qalqilya.

IDF special forces conducted counterterrorism activities in a number of locations around the city of Nablus. The soldiers apprehended two suspects and confiscated a “Carlo” submachine gun. During the operational activity in the town of Beita, dozens of Palestinians instigated a violent riot and hurled rocks and Molotov cocktails at the soldiers. The soldiers responded with riot dispersal means and live ammunition. A hit on an armed suspect was identified.

Earlier this week, Palestinians vandalized the Joseph’s Tomb religious site in the city of Nablus. This morning, IDF soldiers secured the area of Joseph’s Tomb while repairs were made to the site. During the activity, hundreds of Palestinians instigated a violent riot, burned tires and hurled rocks and Molotov cocktails at the soldiers in the area. The soldiers responded with riot dispersal means and live ammunition.

Additionaly, during the counterterrorism activity in Qalqilya, in which three Hamas terror operatives were apprehended, Palestinians instigated violent riots in a number of locations in the city. The rioters hurled rocks and Molotov cocktails at IDF soldiers. The soldiers responded with riot dispersal means and .22 caliber rounds. A hit on a rioter was identified.
During the riot, an IDF soldier was lightly injured due to stones thrown at him and evacuated to a hospital for further medical treatment.

All of the suspects and weapons apprehended during the activities have been transferred to the ISA for further processing.

2022-04-12 12:43:19 The IDF continues its extensive counterterrorism activity in Judea and Samaria: IDF soldiers and other security forces apprehended 20 wanted terror suspects during the night and early morning, including an individual who was involved in vandalizing Joseph’s Tomb this past Sunday

During extensive counterterrorism activity in Judea and Samaria based on accurate intelligence, the IDF, ISA, and Israel Border Police operated this morning in the towns of, Zeita, Yamun, Balata, al-Khader, Bayt Kahil and Azun Atme.

This morning, IDF special forces apprehended individuals suspected of involvement in terror activity and confiscated illegal weapons in the town of Zeita.

Meanwhile, additional IDF soldiers and other Israeli security forces conducted counterterrorism activity in Jenin and towns in the area. During the activity, soldiers responded with live ammunition toward suspects who hurled explosive devices at them, as well as toward armed suspects in the area. No IDF injuries were reported.

In addition, IDF soldiers apprehended a suspect in the city of Nablus who was involved in vandalizing Joseph’s Tomb this past Sunday.

All of the suspects and weapons apprehended during the activities have been transferred to Israeli security forces for further processing.

2022-04-11 13:38:33 This morning, IDF soldiers operated in a number of locations Judea and Samaria and apprehended 13 suspected terror operatives

This morning, IDF and ISA forces conducted counterterrorism activities in the towns of Burqa and Qallil, where IDF soldiers apprehended eight suspects and confiscated four vehicles and two guns.

During the counterterrorism activity, violent riots were instigated by dozens of Palestinians in a number of locations in the town of Qallil. The rioters burned tires and hurled rocks at the soldiers. In addition, live fire shots were heard in the area. No IDF injuries were reported.

IDF soldiers also apprehended two Hamas terrorist operatives at two locations in the city of Hebron.

In addition, IDF soldiers apprehended two suspects in the town of Al Aroub who hurled firebombs at civilians on Route 60 in the past, as well as two suspects in the towns of Bruqin and Meithalun.

The suspects and the confiscated weapons were transferred to Israeli security forces for further processing. Open / Comment

2022-04-10 19:22:02 IDF: A short while ago, in the town of Dier Ghazaleh adjacent to Jenin, suspicious vehicles were spotted adjacent to the residence of the terrorist who killed three civilians and injured dozens more in Thursday's terror attack in Tel Aviv. Intelligence indicated that the terrorist’s two brothers were in one of the vehicles.

IDF soldiers who were dispatched to the scene, fired toward the wheels of the vehicle. A hit was identified, and the vehicle fled the scene.

During the operational activity, a suspect fired at the soldiers from a passing motorcycle. The soldiers responded with fire. A hit was identified. Open / Comment

2022-04-10 13:31:16 IDF: A short while ago, a Palestinian suspect approached IDF soldiers adjacent to the town of Husan.

The soldiers operated to stop the suspect by firing warning shots into the air, in accordance with the arrest procedures. When the suspect continued approaching, the soldiers fired towards the suspect's lower body.

The suspect received initial medical treatment by IDF soldiers at the scene by the soldiers before being transferred to the Palestine Red Crescent for further treatment.
